I hate it. I understand that people can "Play the game however they want to play, they paid for it and it's meant to be fun etc etc" But you can have fun in that game in other ways.

Or at least don't cry when I tube you....freakin' tac-knifers!

its interesting that the army rather wants you to go up close and hack them instead of useing a gun you would do in real to prevent casualties, but thats my opinion

I can't imagine the amount of people that would quit if the CoD series went back to its roots I highlighted the part that's wrong. Since when are those 4-5 classes the only way to win? The F2000 can kill the same as the Scar. The Vector can kill the same as the UMP45. The reason people don't use them is they're not the "be all end all" weapons of their class. Why be good at something when you can take the easy way out? Why compensate for recoil when you can shoot straight all the time?

People have dug into the games code to see the weapons coded damage and see what they should use, and that's sad.

People need to stop ruining games by spamming the overpowered stuff. They use it because they know it's a cheap, easy way to get things done.
So they should use the underpowered or useless stuff instead? How does that make games any funner?
How does using only the overpowered weapons make the game more fun?

Perhaps they should stop looking at the power of a weapon and look at the weapon itself. What's good where? Where is the F2000 more useful than a Scar?

People don't know because they've never used the damn thing. They use the default UMP45 class until they unlock the Scar and call it a day.

By the way: No gun in that game is useless. No gun is underpowered. Only overpowered.

If you're sticking to the overpowered weapons, you're playing for the wrong reasons.
I'm pretty sure I've used every gun in that game to the point of learning them except the F2000, could you tell me what the hell that gun is for, its like an SMG but without the hip-fire accuracy.

It's just as legitimate as any other tactic.

Then again, I'm the kind of person who finds nothing wrong with a camping. If it was purposely built into the game, I won't fault you for using it.

I hate knifers. There I am with a 10 kill streak, trying to get my nuke, and I get repeatedly rushed by these idiots. One guy runs straight at me and gets killed over and over and over, and isn't smart enough to realize that he's going to keep dying if he keeps running straight at me over and over. Eventually he gets lucky, and kills me, ending my kill streak, and I don't get my nuke.

This is the ONLY reason (other than 1 man army noob tubers) I don't get a nuke every single game. Every game I ever play has a knifer in it, or someone who uses the "tactics" described above.

Edit: I sometimes knife too, but only when the enemy team is seriously pissing me off.
Would you like some cheese with that whine?
I'm guessing troll?

It's fun. Gives an adrenaline rush. I don't play MW2, but I do this on BC2 sometimes, wearing a ghillie suit. I'll jump into a group of people with lightweight armour and ceramic armour and knife 3 guys. It's hilarious!

If it happens to you, learn to shoot and cover yourself. Don't just sit there staring into space. Don't just sit there, period. Keep moving, move your mouse around not just your keyboard, and you'll be fine.
BC and MW2 are vastly different beasts. In BC this is a bit more legitimate, but in MW2 there are entire builds around running fast and exploiting invincibility frames. This isn't a matter of skill but rather an unintentional imbalance in the game.

Hey it was just a request dude.

Anyway, you've spent this whole thread arguing that I couldn't see what set up you use dude!
It'd be nice to know yours and everyone else's without us all shouting at each other.

People call Modern Warfare 2 a First-Person Shooter, while its actually a first person brawler with knives. With an option for guns.

You know what I'm talking about. Those gamers who jump into a game, use an SMG with Marathon, Lightwieght and Commando, (possibly a Tactical Knife), and just run around knifing people. Me... I can't stand it. I wanna see what my fellow Escapists think.
As someone who used to do that almost entirely I can safely say it's the most satisfying thing ever.

I don't play it much anymore.

When I did it really depended on my mood.

One of my favorites was The ACR/M4 with a silencer, scavanger, cold blooded, ninja or sitrep.

The only constant with all of my clasess was cold blooded, because I got sick of being shot through walls by kill streaks.
You don't play it anymore but you got into a huge argument about it anyway?, dude poor show! (yes I know you was just arguing semantics, but still poorshow!)

The ACR? I haven't unlocked it yet I don't think, I use the Scar with n00b tube attachment

Whats SitRep?, my MW2 is in French so I'm not too sure what that is, I might not have it unlocked yet, it took me a while to figure out that "Passe a Passe" is your "Slight of Hand"

Yeah its annoying when you get shot to shit by chopper gunners, MW2 is a wierd game in that it rewards good people with shockingly overpowered toys, being rewarded in a game is fine but MW2 takes it to a whole new level.

I've used this arrangement, it was fun for a while, but I primarily use for levelling up my weapons to make them useable, to be clear I use it to get my kills but where opportunity to use my primary weapon, say UMP, presents itself I do so and thus make the attachments available while still getting a reasonable number of kills in the game.

How ever I hardly use it now due being more of a skykiller class.

Now campers are where the bane of my life come from.

As with everything else, commonly described as 'zomg game-breaking' in Mw2, this tactic can be countered by pretty much not 'standing perfectly still while not shooting at the guy running towards you', so I wouldn't even consider it mildly annoying.

Lot of arguing going on here. That wasn't quite the point of this thread. I just wanted to see everyone's opinion, not start a flame war. So, how about we all try playing nice, and everything will turn out just fine.

Thanks for listening.
