Yes, but there's so many children and cheaters on it!!! Aimbots, controller mods, or lag switching, its very prevalent, and I tend to make those people my ***** after I call them out on it. And all the kids... I got one yesterday to believe I was a pro because I had 43 kills in a CTF match. Really? Go back to the Wii please. However, they do make for good killin'.

I mostly play with friends but when I'm by myself I beat getting angry by just not really taking it seriously. I usually just try to do random or fancy stuff which makes me super happy when something works.

You'll find campers, glitchers and overall morons in every single online game you play, there's no denying this. In this case I personally happen to find MW2 to be one of the more fun games to play online. Perks that you can upgrade, challenges to complete, titles and emblems to unlock, plenty of guns, plenty of gun attachments, the list goes on and on.

There is so much crap to do and unlock online, I actually try to endure the idiots that I meet just to unlock this stuff, which directly violates my own personal rule of never going online with randoms, ever. Plus, it helps hone my skills against human opposition, which can't be a bad thing.

edit: Also, am i the only one actually glad that IW decided to not use dedicated servers? im down 50k points in BC2 because of dedicated servers.
Yes, you are definitely the only one, since I cannot see a single good reason why someone (other then Infinity Ward) would want dedicated servers removed. If nothing else, they are an option for players.

And I never played Modern Warfare 2. The removal of dedicated servers and mod support was too much for me and I refuse to even pirate the game.
sooo.....you never played the game, yet you judge something you have never experienced. that would be like me refusing to see Avatar, then say it sucks.

the problem with dedicated servers is that if you disconnect in the middle of a game, you lose all your points, while in MW2 you get directed to a new game, meaning that you can continue without missing out on the points you gathered.

Yes, because it's fun. Just turn voice volume right down though. Although I must say CoD:WaW is still my favorite multiplayer online. The map designs encourage teamwork more, and I kind of get the feeling that MW2 takes CoD online a bit too far.

I pop it in once in a while. I really wanted to like the Bad Company 2 multiplayer but it's just too slow and barren feeling. I probably spend more time watching youtube videos of gameplay from people like Tjeb than actually playing nowadays.

Still play 1 or 2 rounds every now and again, stopped almost completely about 2 weeks ago as I bought Assassin's Creed 2. Campaign mode was a disappointment, I finished it on Vet in maybe 1-2hrs longer than it took me on Recruit, and all of that time was just extra hiding behind cover and being more cautious, and pointless deaths in BS parts of some of the missions. Multiplayer is a bit meh after a while (2nd Prestige lvl 25) and I just stopped playing after going through every game mode and not finding any likeable games on at least 3 different occaisions. Plus the fact that I have to deal with at max 3 bars of ping.

Camping pisses people off, including me, but nothing pisses campers off more than being noob tubed, which I gladly partake in. Imagining the rage as I stop their killstreak makes every death worth it.
I tend to laugh when I get camped, then the expletives start flying as the camper is killed by a throwing knife from out of the blue.

Yet I would still prefer MW2 over a certain Nexon FPS (putting the name of the game here would cause me to dry-retch) which has so many hackers that it makes MW2 look completely hack-free and clean, and you can get kicked for hacking just because you have 10 kills/2 deaths.

Single player campaign was great and spec-ops is great to play co-op and alright playing single player, I'm glad I bought the game.

Now that I've the nice part out of the way; Multiplayer on CoD6 is the biggest heap of dung ever. Its just bad spawning combined with a bunch of idiots into an irritating series of disappointing levels and modes... However I do enjoy playing it with friends online, I just can't play random matches anymore.

Now I'm playing 'Batman: Arkham Asylum' and then I'll be playing 'Assassins Creed II'. Looking forward to some games coming out in the next while too.

I've actually been using Bioshock 2 for Multiplayer.

It's pretty entertaining when you don't get a Laggy match.
Yeah, a friend of mine's x-box broke so he gave me his games for two weeks while it was being repaired and one of the games was Bioshock2. Besides the Singleplayer being awesome the Multiplayer is pretty fun two once you reach level4 and can actually win matches. Would you like to know why its good? It's because most of the idiots are playing CoD6 so mostly only fun people are playing games like Bioshock2 and L4D2.

I played MW1 and thought it was way too serious, so I just went back to playing Halo 3.

Haven't gotten around to playing MW2 yet, but I will one day, and I assume it will be the same as MW1.

I don't mean this is an insult to MW2, I just prefer Halo.
Halo is fun because its more light hearted and about just messing around.

I remember back when I used to play Halo on my PC using dial-up internet to play multiplayer. I'd spend half an hour trying to get online then another half an hour finding a game that wasn't 100% lag... but it was worth it because it was sooooooooo much fun, if you had to put in that much work to play MW2 no one would play it because its not enough fun to warrant the effort.

I'm still playing on and off for a couple reasons mainly because my friends can't understand that bad company is a great game.

It's addictive and the combat is visceral and entertaining, so people are willing to look past the shittiness of the player base.

I still pop in in and play a couple Team Death Match games from time to time.

There's no option for "I got it, knocked it off in 6 hours, returned it and resolved never to buy another Infinity Ward Call of Duty game until they stop killing all the fucking good characters and ending games in cliffhnagers like that substitutes for their subpar storytelling".

So I just went with "no, found a new game".
(sigh) what you said about the campaign is indeed, very true.

OT: Yeah, I still play it, I do like it, but occasionally I'll play Burnout paradise, Bully, Gears of war 2, or GTA: EFLC. I do like it, but it's safe to say that it's last years assassin's creed. Incredibly flawed, but incredibly popular.

There was a time when this game truly frustrated me but yeah it has basically become the only game I play. Once you stop taking the game seriously the game because incredibly fun and in my experience you do better. The difference between this and MW1 is that despite how frustrating the game got I still wanted to play it be it to continue prestiging or to get emblems and complete challenges.

To be honest, I hate the game to no end, and my friends dont understand why. I play a few hours a day, but ONLY because its the only game my friends play. So, its either deal with the horror of a game that is MW2, or beat GTA IV.....again....
I know your pain brother, all my freinds love the game but i despise it for obvious reasons. I'm always asked "Are you comming online?" "When are you online"
I havn't even played the game for a day but all my mates have like 5 or 6 days worth of gameing, and yet i'm still better than them.
