Depends what you mean by "use". I swear to myself, out loud if I'm alone. But I never swear in company of any kind.

I do. Sometimes.
I only use 'em when I'm angry or if it's appropriate for comical purposes.
But never, ever in front of my parents. Otherwise I get the glare.

I don't swear. I used to swear quite frequently, but then I realized that I just sounded like an idiot. I find swear words are like verbal violence. Violence as an answer to a problem or issue is a poor man's response. If a guy is mouthing off and you slug him, it just shows you lack and willpower, restraint, or ability to either combat him verbally, or just realize the guy is just some guy mouthing off (And therefore just some idiot)...so who cares?

Swearing is the same. It portrays an inability to articulate yourself properly. Now, before the quotes pour in saying 'I can articulate myself just fine and I swear!', then allow me to point out the qualifier word 'portrays'. I know there are plenty of articulate people who swear plenty, but it's hard to take them as serious, intelligent people when their vocabulary seems to be restricted to 4 letter words.
I feel the same way. I've been trying to eliminate swearing almost entirely from my vocabulary. I feel like its so saturated our language that half(ish) of what people say is totally meaningless because they've opted for the swearing route and added an f-bomb in 3 places each sentence. I don't find it offensive, I just find it stupid. I still swear every once in a while, but I'm really trying to stop.

I swear whenever the fuck I want.
Which, surprisingly, is actually fairly little.
Or, at least, fairly little in comparison to everyone else I know.

Seriously. Some afternoons, the sheer density of all the cussing actually causes certain swearwords to take physical form.
True story.

I swear, when it's appropriate.

Swear words carry emotion with them, mainly anger. If you swear all the time, then you have nothing to express yourself with when you get angry. I don't swear unless I get really really angry about something. Thus when those around me hear me swear, then they know am really mad about something. Where as if I swore all the time, then the words loss there meaning and so end up needing a different way of expressing my anger. the same reason can also apply to other words like love, people overuse the word love, so the emotion it carries is lost.

I try to keep it to about PG-13. For the most part, I can keep it there.

Then again, I think of something my old history teacher said to us once: When the phone wakes you up at 3 in the morning, you stub your toe on the foot of the bed getting to it, and manage to get to it in time only to find out it's a wrong number, 'Oh, Golly' Ain't gonna cut it."

One curse word I absolutely never say is "rhymes-with-witch." I just don't, and I regret the times I've said it and apologize deeply to those I'd said it to. My roommate has heard me say it once, and she now speaks of it as though it were a sacred legend. I won't describe the situation, except to say it wasn't directed at her, but that was probably the first time I said it in at least 8 years.

I mostly cuss only when we record our show now. LOL. I've cut back a lot since I have a kid running around the place.

I swear like a sailor. Then again, I WAS a sailor, so that makes sense. Still, I never understood why people get offended at swear words. Why does the word offend someone, when the word has no power, but what the person hearing it puts into it? The word is worthless unless it has meaning behind it.

Me saying the word "Flarnghast" in a rage wouldn't offend anyone, because it has no meaning behind it. However, if it were common knowledge that "Flarnghast" used in rage was a pseudonym for "Shit", then people might be offended. But why?

What's the difference between saying "Shit" or "Dang?" They both express anger, annoyance, displeasure, etc as a knee jerk response. The meaning and the thought behind the words are exactly the same. So why is one acceptable yet the other taboo?

What if I just went around using "Holy cow" as a substitute for swearing. That's not offensive, right? Well, unless you're in India where many consider the cow a divine creature, and suddenly, you're a blasphemer.

Swear words are only offensive if people ALLOW themselves to be offended by such words. And I think it's hypocritical of folk who complain about other people cursing yet allow words like "Dang," "Shucks," or "Phooey."

I do, however, take a pretty radical and hardlined view of the whole topic.

I swear casually, but not so often as a 14-year-old who has just discovered that he can say "fuck" without getting in trouble.

I cuss quite a bit, I don't give a damn. If I know someone around me will get offended and I actually know them, I'll refrain, but again, don't give a damn around strangers.
