w00ts for One. Anyways, as I said in the other Metallica thread that is totally different to this, I don't think Metallica are persistantly good, like, at all. Some of their stuff makes me want to commit suicide but some of their stuff also fills my heart with joy... in a metal kind of way.

"One" never really floated my boat. The slow part was just so boring and long to me. My favorite Metallica song is probably Blackened, but out of these choices, I'd say Master Of Puppets.

Fade to Black is my favorite. I can really relate to that song.

Their best song is 'One', I always look for the most powerful songs and from beginning to end it is incredable. It's basically the 'Stairway to Heaven' of metal songs, starts of silent and gets faster and louder but it maintains it's epicness, plus the instrumental at the end is one of the best I have ever heard.

I will take that as an insult. Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be Thy Name" takes that honor.

Quoted for truth. Actually, Iron Maiden has many songs like that, and they're all better than One. Fear of The Dark, Afraid To Shoot Strangers, The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, The Evil That Men Do.
Of the list, I'll pick Leper Messiah. It's overall their best song. Doesn't have a ridiculous solo like so many of them, the vocals sound good, you can actually hear the bass, and drummer doesn't hit the toms twice every beat like he does on far too many songs.

I don't get it. I have already expressed my opinion. They're not. In fact, in terms of pure popularity, Maiden and Metallica are actually about even, with both bands having sold around 100 million albums each.

That's a colon not a semi-colon...
i.e. it should read: "In your opinion; Metallica are the most popular metal band by far!"

I'm aware that he's using hyperbole, bad grammar and incorrect spelling (all within the same post!), but his meaning isn't that hard to decipher.

I try my best everyday but I didn't get a good education and I have to learn by reading but I have improved alot in the last couple of years in case you are interested. The only word I misspelled was 'most' which is just a typo, if I saw it, I would have edited it straight away.
