I find myself not really minding what consol ends up occupying space in my livingroom. Mostly because thanks to living at home with game hating parents, i rarely get access to the tv, and I find pc gaming far more entertaining. Although I suppose if you don't know much about your pc, gaming can be hazardous.

So, xbox, playstation, whatever. I appreciate the games, ultimately.

The Console War is pointless, because everyone knows the PC is better than any console.
Indeed, now silence onsole gaming peasants, you're ruining it for the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race!!!!!! Seriously though what is a console?

OT: I really don't care. I dislike console controls so I'm not going to buy one.

I don't care if my system breaks once a month, I don't care if Microsoft are all a bunch of money grubbing whores, or if I could be bothered to play something like Mass Effect on PC. I love my little black box with the green X on it. It's provided me the best experiences of my gaming life and I would NEVER trade it in. I switched from PS2 to the original XBox back in 2003 for Halo and KOTOR and I have not regretted my decision at all.

Play what you want, I'll play what I want... if we have similar tastes I'll probably be the guy chainsawing you with my lancer or pouncing on you with my hunter :).

No. Whenever someone says "*insert console here* is better than *insert console here*" all it does it make me lose faith in humanity.

That includes when people say PC gaming is superior.

As I own all the consoles and have a good gaming PC as well, I really don't give two shits. They each have some pros and cons and there's really no reason to care.

No.

PS3 is my favorite system and if you don't agree, fuck you, its my goddamn opinion I don't want a system that's gonna die every month.

And so you won't be angry at me for dissing your system, here's a cute picture:

IT DOESNT DIE EVERY... AWWWEEEEE.

I acually really hold the same opinion as you, 3 360's and Microsofts non-suppostive customer support made me switch to Sony.

However a Gaming PC would be amazing, however i dont own one.
Microsoft's customer support was fucking ridiculous. I waited a goddamn hour to talk to someone and they barely spoke english.

And I had to go through 9, yes [b/]NINE[/b] 360s and each of them died within a month.
either you have some really really bad luck or you dont treat your stuff right,
ive currently had my 360 now for 2 years, been nothing wrong with it so far :')

i occasionaly play some pc aswell

The Xbox 360 doesn't have all that many problems. I got the red rings over a year ago and havent had any problems with it since. Also the games are better on 360, the online support is superior to all except PC, and it has the best controller out of ALL platforms. Including PC.

To me, there is no point in getting involved in the console war. I myself may have allied myself with PC, Nintendo and Sony, but that is my preference. I chose PC because well, I started with PC and don't really think that I'd use a Mac to its fullest potential. I chose Nintendo because they've been doing the hand-held shtick for a long while and I trust them not to completely f*** it up. I chose Sony because I trust Sony to build a console slightly more than I trust Microsoft (but if Sony made computers, I'd be sticking with Windows thank you very much). The whole console war basically revolves around some idiot mouthing off their opinion in the wrong way, i.e. "Lol! Console A is awesome and I play it like crazy! I have no life! Console B is a piece of s*** and those who play on Console B suck the hairy testicles of a goat!"

Just my thoughts on the matter. And I can see that over half of you agreed with me.

Well, There are 4 major platforms atm...

Kind of like the format war between HD DVD and Blu-Ray, things would be much simpler for everyone if there was a single standardized platform, cheaper for end users who wouldn't have to have 3 consoles, cheaper for developers who don't have to invest in development for 3 platforms or have their game not available for a whole part of the market... Everyone wins.

One can justify the existence of the Wii, but the 360 and PS3 should be one console because they really dont have any fundamental differences to justify being two platforms... Until motion sensing comes and than developers will have to invest even more resources in supporting this ridiculous gimmick on both consoles, that or make exclusives which only piss off people who own one of the two consoles.

The world would just be a better place if PC was the only platform. :p

You got another 360 after your one broke? That alone doesn't give you a high IQ.

You can't say "games are better" because most of them are on PC and PS3.

Online support? As in problem support or online gameplay.

Also what does a controller have to do with anything? You get use to something and you don't notice.

I didn't buy a new 360 jackass, I had my original one repaired for free.

I can say that 360 games are better, because I think that the Xbox's exclusive titles are better than the other system's. And thats my opinion so screw you.

I meant that the Xbox has a larger online community than say the PS3.

The controller has a lot to do with it. Thank you very much.
