Poll: The Console War...Do you care?

not really. I liked the 360 because the games I wanted were coming out for it, I liked the Wii because it was something new and it was cheap, and I'm getting a Ps3 for God of War 3 and free online. The console wars affect me very little. I get whats practical.
Also I do most of my gaming on PC anyway.

Technically, it's very hard to say factually that a console is better than another one. You know the example: The Wii has largely outsold it's competitors even though the Xbox 360 and the PS3 have more powerful hardware. Those are facts. But just because the Wii has sold more than the other consoles or my PS3/Xbox 360 has more 'power' doesn't make one console better. It's an opinion, a subjective choice.

Anyone affirming as a fact that the [Insert console name here] is superior is a complete idiot.

Nope, never did. I personally don't see why you should limit yourself to strictly one platform, aside from, of course, financial reasons. The only reason I don't have a PS3 is because there's no exclusive games on it that interest me enough to want to shell out the money, esp. considering I don't have any income right now.
I always thought the console wars were incredibly stupid, which is why I loved the last console generation because it had appeared as though they had finally come to an end. ...so much for that.

EDIT: And that goes for PC too.

Why should i care what system other people like?

I would always try to get my RL friends to choose PC if they asked me, solely so i could play with them, but thats about it.

I've got a PC (in response to teh OP, mine cost me what according to the currency converter = 1200£, who's bragging now) a wii and a PS3.
I'm not gonna buy a 360, cause theres honestly not enough games avalible for it, which i cannot get for my PS3 or PC, and i've already got more games than i have time for, so it's too much money for something i don't need.
When i got my PS3 i choose it over the 360 cause my friends had PS3's so i could play with them and we could borrow games from each other. If they had had 360 i would've gotten a 360 as well.

What i fail to understand is, why anyone can be so bitten by elitism abd anger, that they'll hate people for having a different console. I facepalm everytime i see some retard write about how the PS3 sucks, most often with no viable arguments, or when some other tard complains about how halo is the worst game ever, when her pobably haven't ever really played it, i mean seriously, how stupid can people be?
I've never played Halo, i don't even think i've seen someone play it IRL yet. How the fuck should i be able to say it sucks then? seeing how popular it is, i'd be pretty supprised if it wasn't a good game.
I guess all teh haters are just hating cause of the hype, it happens everytime a lot of people like something, just look at avatar, a lot of people praise it and hype it, and all of a sudden theres hatefull responses due to the simple fact that it has an unoriginal plot. lots and lots of movies have unoriginal plots, but as soon as one becomes popular, it's a reason to hate it.
Then all the tards who'll just jump on the bandwagon comes up, and starts hating on stuff they don't know shit about´, just cause others does so, let's take an example:
Twilight. Now I haven't seen the movie or read the books so it might be as bad as people say it is, and i'm not gonna say iot's good cause honestly, i wouldn't know. What makes me think ugly thought about people though, is the fact that otehrs who know just as little about it as me can hate it so badly.
From what i know, i'm guessing it's sortof like Underworld for chicks. theres vampires and werewolves, they don't dig each other, and chicks dig that edqward dude like us guys drool over the vampire lead chick from twilight in her tight spandex suit. Swap action for romance and swap the genders of the hotties and viola, there you go. Now this is just guesswork on my part seeing as i've only seen one udnerworld and not twilight, so i'm not gonan do like the haters and say this liek it was the truth.

I acually really hold the same opinion as you, 3 360's and Microsofts non-suppostive customer support made me switch to Sony.

However a Gaming PC would be amazing, however i dont own one.

Microsoft's customer support was fucking ridiculous. I waited a goddamn hour to talk to someone and they barely spoke english.

And I had to go through 9, yes [b/]NINE[/b] 360s and each of them died within a month.

Well atleast you got to a guy on the support, i got disconnected 4 times. Not only that but the guy READ OFF THEIR OWN FUCKING SITE. I told him that (once i finaly got through to a guy) i had read the whole website and did everything on it. Then he just reads a list off the customer support section, the one that was open in front of me. He read it in the exact same order too.

I then said, "You're reading off the Microsoft site arent you"
He says "No im not"
I then say "your a retard im on the same fucking page as you reading the same shit" *hangs up phone*

I just got the RROD for the first time. I should be able to either fix the one I have or buy a new one this month. Thank God I have my PS3 and PC or I may go insane. As it is, I'm having major cravings to play Dragon Age >_O

I couldn't care less about console wars. I love my 360 and scattered PC games and that's plenty for me. I really don't care about getting a PS3 for Uncharted, MGS, etc.

And Zero Punctuation tears the Wii apart enough for all of us anyways.
