Hello there, after watching alot of movies I began pondering what would be the most likely thing to enslave Humanity. I mean you have films in which we are enslaved by the A.I we create or an ailen race, theres even a sort of new world order in 1984. Personally I belive it will be A.I because our technology is advancing at a scary rate, but would love to hear your opinions.

zombies seem to be the least likely candidate. They wouldn't go through the trouble of enslaving us, they'd munch on our brains. I voted aliens as to me it would seem that if they noticed we were really adapted to our environment and can work on this planet better then them that they would foruce us to provide us with all the Earth's resources.

Aliens.

Zombies wouldn't enslave humans, they'd just eat them.

A New World Order wouldn't really be an enslaved humanity, it would be humans enslaving others.

I don't believe advanced and potentially rebellious AI would be given the ability to truly orchestrate a robot uprising, and even if they did they would probably either exterminate humans or just pack up and go somewhere else.

I voted for Religious Order, because they've been trying to 'enslave' humanity since the dawn of time. Not in an overt, or necessarily malevolent way, but through controlling how people think and act.

I don't mean this to sound like an anti-religion rant, because I would be all for a religion that didn't condemn everyone who wasn't a follower (and allowed me to eat meat, so Buddhism is out).

But I can see that as the years go on, and crises appear (I'm thinking Global Warming, or some kind of pandemic along the lines of this Swine Flu), more and more people will turn to religion, and each religion will turn against each other.

And that's how humanity will end.

To the contrary, religion was far more prevalent in times previous. Anyway, if you think we aren't already enslaved in some fashion or another to the religious right, then you are dreaming. As it is, I'm preparing my zombie apocalypse kit. As we continue to experiment in medical sciences, it's bound to happen that one of the so called vaccines is gonna turn people in to undead, brain hunters. I'm betting it will be in the vaccine for AIDS. It seems inevitable.
