Architecture, an artistic combination of sculpture and construction.

You can't get much greater than the Pyramids, the Colossus or Rhodes, certain cathedrals and some of the other great buildings and moments.

Plus most of them also have a practical purpose.

Somewhat of a ridiculous claim to say that one art is greater than another.
To summarize: I agree with Fanboy, my fellow Simon

Thinking would qualify in an art in my book. As rare as it is today anyway.

Drawings/paintings.

And anyone calling an unmade bed or animals in formaldehyde "art" needs to see a shrink in my opinion.

For me right now it's Music. Music is what accompanies me during my whole day, music makes my imagination fly and makes my feelings change accordingly. Games are right behind in the art aspect, games that instead of blowing aliens in fifteen different direct directions make you feel something ( Metal Gear Solid 4 is a shinning example of this) or take to new worlds where you immerse yourself... or even truly special games like Okami that are in itself a beautiful expression of what Games mean as Art both visually and Story wise.

Id like to speak up as an advocate of the under-appreciated contender, Verbal speech. Apart from the fact that Verbal speech has been kicking as for several thousand years now. It is the one available that transcends all the genres. Without language NONE of the other categories could even exist. Not to mention the fact that a well told story is something that none of the others have ever duplicated in terms of depth and ability to move an audience. And on top of that, a well told story doesn't need any of the others to work. While a move/game/novel without use of language would be meaningless.
