I'm confused. At first i thought that you were talking about real life hunting, then i saw word ''game''. Are you talking about hunting games?
Or are you thinking that killing innocent animals is a game? That's sick.
No, i don't hunt. I don't like the idea of killing animals by shooting them from distance.
You know... If you kill it getting the sneak on it and choking it to death, There i sless Bruising. Just saying. Or shot to the head.
Killing from distance seems to me weird is that's for sport or trophies, the animal doesn't know you are there, he can't protect himself, you are just shooting at a target. Killing from behind might be enjoyable.
Killing humans and killing blue navi humans is one thing, killing dumb animals is something else.
I will hunt only when there will be legal human hunting TV shows...with Jonas Brothers, guest prey.

Anyone know what Im taking about?
Fuckin Bam. Freedom unite or Wii?
Freedom 2 actually, I have both Freedom 1 and 2 so i thought there wouldntbe much point in getting Unite, and my friend also has Freedom 2, so if i did get Unite, we couldnt go on quests together.
And I dont have a Wii, dont want one, Ill wait till MH comes out on the PS3
What about you?

I think the word 'game' is generally the word used to descride what animal they hunt by many people.

I don't hunt. I don't have some stupid pretentious moral high ground argument against it - it's just seeing animals die upsets me. Killing an animal would really upset me.

I wouldn't mind hunting, I mean for food more than sport. I often just equip my bow and hunt in Oblivion, or do some target practice on Fallout.

f I want to eat something I will go to the shop, if I want to kill something I will go on any number of games that have killing in and if I wanted fun I could do any number of things that are much more fun, so why would I want to take something else's life in order to have less fun, eat or have something to do?

Why is it ok to kill another animal for food but not a human? Were an animal and were edible, is it 'cos the only thing that separates us is opposable thumbs and a more advanced brain?

Bah, double standards!

Nothing as yet, but I'm in the process of getting my shotgun license, so once I have that (and a gun) I'll be off out game shooting hopefully :D

I'll be getting a Over and Under in 12 Bore (gauge) so I can use it for game and for clays :)

No, because I think the idea of killing anything for entertainment and not in self defense is wrong, especially when you give them no chance by shooting them from a distance.

Cool cool, I've always thought that of the two choices for double barrel shotguns the Over-Under ones are much more elegant looking than the Side-By-Side ones.

I'm not sure about bird hunting myself, having had hunted bird in the past I can say that picking out the shot while trying to eat it isn't my idea of a good time.

I'm not too sure yet, it depends on my budget which is about £650 maximum ($1000 approximately) So it might have to be second hand. I'm looking to get one by a major name though Beretta or Browning or Winchester or someone like that.

I'd really like a Winchester 101, so if I can track one of those down, and it's in my budget, I'll be getting it :)

I agree that O/A are better looking and more elegant, but side by side does have it's uses. Being lighter they're more suited to carrying around on a game shoot and stuff like that. As far as picking bits of shot our of your meal goes, I'd say it's all part of the experience :p

Ah yes, here we are back to the automatic assumption that hunting is only done for trophies.

No, if I'm going to bag a whitetail it's because I want it's tasty, tasty deer flesh. NOT because I want a fucking head to put on the wall.
So you've only ever killed an animal to consume it? Or have you also killed for the 'fun' of it?

Fair enough if it's only to eat, but as far as I'm concerned anyone who hunts outside of the need for food is scum.

What about the need to protect crops and/ or livestock?

For example farmers shooting pigeons or crows that plague their crops.

That comment is just ignorant, hunting in some places is a very important cultural event, and is necessary to reduce animal populations so that they don't STARVE to death. Also hunters are the NUMBER ONE source of all conservation effort funds(in america). We aren't mindless killers so please stop insulting people about it.

Well that's fair enough, to a degree. Until you get people killing creatures for 'sport' using that as an excuse.
