Uhh I honestly don't care. In fact, more nudity means less sales because parents won't let their kids buy it. The obvious fame caused by controversy idea is good, but it can also cause backlash on the company. And just because there was nudity, I doubt that it will make the game better.
This brings up an interesting point though; parents will buy their children games that feature gory killing, drugs, and gangs, but as soon as nudity is mentioned it's suddenly inappropriate. It's just funny to see how society has forced us to believe that the three formers in that list are more acceptable than the natural human body. This kind of thinking tells people that they should be ashamed of their bodies, which they shouldn't.

How much of a boob?
Like, if there was something covering the nipples would it be nudity?
If so, how much of a womans breasts would have to be covered before it wouldn't be considered nudity?
If a guy was unclothed except he put his 'decoration' in a box would he be nude?
Where do you draw the line?

I agree. A lot of people warned me that there was a lot of nudity in Watchmen and I told them, "So? There's nudity every time I take a shower." It's just a natural thing.

What do you consider nude?
Bewbs, weeners, punanis, naughty-hair, unveiled faces.
There was a time when exposed ankles where considered to be nudity.
Mmmmm.....hot sexy ankles....... Oh! I mean, how odd!!!

Can you please provide photographs to strengthen your case?

I fail to see what nudity adds to a gaming experience. Let deviant art handle bringing our favorite characters to the flesh.
If you don't see what nudity adds then you haven't played any of the great games.

Question: Would people have played Pac-Man if he weren't nude?
Answer: No.
Though I do not agree with what you say, I will defend your right to say it. Although, if I could persuade you to actually meet my point head on, Pac Man is hardly of the breed of character I was referring to.
Why? Because he's asian? Pac-man was nude, and a proud asian nude. You may not have yellow fever (Aka Pac-man fever), but some do....and that caused alot of quarters to get dropped into alot of Pac-man games.

This.

And there should only be nudity if it can be introduced without making it the center-point for the cutscene or whatnot, and if it can flow with the game and make sense in it.

Then of course there are all the prudes/immatures who have a hard time looking at the human body, and think it's something disgusting if it's not theirs or their spouses.
As to your first point, what is "this"? Fail.

To your second, I agree. If it can be used without being self-serving, and adds to the content of the whole, then by all means, include it.

To your third, I do not fall into that category. That category should breathe only my farts until they die horribly.
Okay, if you need me to explain it. By "this", I was referring to the point you made and acknowledging that it could very well work as the first few sentances of what I was going to say.

The rest was not directed at you individually, it was meant to add on to your comment.

If you remember back to the glorious days of yore when most video game characters were nude (Sonic, Tails, Pacman, Mrs. Pacman, Frogger) most games were epic and had an incredible amount of replayability. Dozens of teens would be infront of a gaming system on the weekends competing with their friends on who could make Pacman eat the most power pellets in the buff or who could bounce their balls the most on Pong.

Now only a few games keep with the tradition set forth by the great minds of gaming. GTA 4 took the right path in including male nudity and Mass Effect incorporated a bit of female nudity. Far be it from me to state that this nudity was the only thing that made the games good, but technically they were the sprinkles on the awesome-cake that would go on to change the face of video gaming forever (Note: After Mass Effect there have been more space-based games and after Grand Theft Auto 4 there have been more games made featuring weapons and cars).

My question is simple....

How can we convince those making subpar games to incorporate nudity so as to make them playable?
I've got too much to say about this post. "It's convoluted" is I guess my main point.
Are Sonic, Tails, Pacman, etc. Really naked? Technically yes, but they don't have visible junk. Yes the games of the 80s and 90s were epic, but "nudity" wasn't the thing that made them great. Is showing a guy naked the "right path?" in my opinion its just a path to take because I'm indifferent of whether there's nudity or not. Mass Effect doesn't really count because it was not even enough to set the alarm off for anyone except FOX news.
Okay so I get your point that nudity isn't a necessity, but is it really so great? Its just the human body, what the difference whether there's clothes or not (Unless you're a pervert)? Nudity changing the face of video gaming... In the wrong way really, because in today's society, it just means we'd perverts. Also, almost every game in existence falls under "games set in space and games with guns or cars." Nudity doesn't make a game better, especially a bad one. Nudity doesn't add actual value to a game.

I say let there be more nudity in games.

but not for eroticism, but rather just to break the preconcieved mold which Games in western society hold. Much like how Anime holds the preconcieved idea 'it is just a cartoon'; games, no matter how competative, deep, or thought provoking they may be, are still just games and often comperable to childish trinkets.

allowing a small bit of adult flavor into games would allow more people to see that some games are more than just childish, and are an acceptable mature entertainment platform. Not some sort of toy which we are being immature for playing with.

Further more, i think a little bit of nudity adds flavor to charicters and garners more attachment in some games. if you think a charicter in the game is sexually attractive, then you are more inclined to keep that individual in your party or choose paths which allow you to cross that individual more often. In games where the girl is supposed to be your love intrest... it always seems odd that you never get past first base.

You... have just got to be kidding me. I really just can't begin to process this as a legitimate argument. Are you saying that I am being racist for not caring that Pac Man wears no pants? Or that their is a sub-culture of freaks who get off on the image?
You just couldn't wait to mention that Pac-man wears no pants.

I think that speaks for itself. :p
