uh...you do realise that if the moon hit france it would flatten the whole of europe, the uk and the top most part of africa as well right? (not taking volumne into account the moon is as big as australia)

Yeah, but this whole thing is meant as a joke. If the moon falls to Earth, we're all totally screwed. I'm pretty sure the Earth would have a Crater the size of Russia, China, and North America combined. It would have drastic effects on our atmosphere and nothing would survive. Europe would be the least of our worries.
