But yeah, to answer some questions, Im 16 and oldest in my year, it doesnt trail along, the only reason they gave was "Its part of the uniform".

Now that I'm out of highschool, I think all highschool students should be in uniforms and artificial hair color should be banned outright.

While I applaud your ability to grow a beard, no sympathy from the iron fist of lower education.

I think if there are no rules against it, go for it. So what if some of the faculty doesn't like it? If they change the rules as action specifically against YOUR beard, that will just look bad on them.

Ummm it's a private school. the owner can say/do what he/she wants. now if this were a public school you could tell them where to stick it. I'd probably keep it anyways though all things Considered. Don't let anyone tell you you're not allowed a moustache for Movember. Call them male hating cancer lovers if they do. yes I'm in the process of growing a wicked stache for the month, though it's encouraged where I work.

Umm, now back to the topic:

Well, it IS a private school... so they make the rules. If you want to attend, you need to follow them. But of course commanding you to shave your beard off is pretty weird... and petty. And disgusts me. (I myself like MY beard... and i have long hair too.)

this is the guy, this is the guy who worshipped the beard. he started a Facebook patition to get the school to let me keep my beard and moustache.

i worked in a restaurant when I grew mine. Had it there for about 4 months when they suddenly decided it was a hygiene risk and made me shave it off. But then they fired me so I figured it was alright to get it back again.

It doesn't look too bad, they should have let you keep it. The teachers at my school are okay with the top year students having full grown hobo beards.

right, this might take a while so pull up a chair. while back, I decided to try and grow a soul patch like Jack black; purely on a whim. later I decided to grow a moustache as well. they weren't terrible and they werent bum fluff, some of the teachers genuinly said it suited me.
Now, skip along a few months till after the summer holidays prior to my final year at the school and its stepped up to a full beard and moustache, not too far away from a goatee. I was genuinly proud of it and people liked it (only a few didnt like it) and one of my friends almost worshipped the damn thing.
now a few days or a week into my first term and the my form teacher drops the bomb "You have to shave it". Apparently the schools owner (Private school) had talked with the head mistress and had decided that i had to shave off my pride and joy.

Now I might be regrowing my facial hair for a charity event and I want to know what the people of the internet think: Is the school fair in making me shave?

heres a few points to consider
- I kept it neat; I even had a comb for it
- There was nothing in the school rules against it
- the school's motto is: "Where the individule counts"
- Even the head mistress said she liked it

It's a private school, they can do whatever they want.

Get some parents to sign a petition, their funding is based on parents staying happy.

Thats messed up. I think they just want say "Individuality Counts so we must all look the same". Its complete bull. Also i have a question. How does it step up to a full beard and mustache and not far from a goatee? I used to have the one of the king of Beards so that sentence puzzled me lol.

sorry, bit inaccurate on my part. if you saw what it was like before it got like that I think you'd get it. but yeah, sorry about that
