I never got "The Talk". In my parent's eyes, that is what Sex Education at school is for.

Was never given a talk of any kind. I've worked at becoming a biology major since highschool and that pretty much told me all that needed to be told.

Was that the same shitty video with the girl and boy cartoon sitting back to back on the floor with that god-awful voiceover explaining how they'll change when puberty hits?

The video was so low-budget. I expected the cartoons to actually CHANGE as the voiceover went on but no such luck.

Google images, man. I was innocent way back when. I can thank the internet for removing that particular barrier to life.

I lol'd so hard at that.

Out of sheer morbid curiousity (and i know i'm going to regret asking) WTF is that from and WTF is it about?

My parents gave me a pamphlet which was awkward, because I was supposed to only read the 'boy part' and being a curious youth I read the whole thing and was terribly confused.

my parents told me to use safe sex(had no idea what that meant for a long time) when I was 7 or 8, but I mainly picked it all up from school and the interwebs(NOT THE PORN)

I got the talk when I was around 6 or 7. I stumbled across porn only once in the form of a pop up ad that wouldn't go away when I tried to get rid of it. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't an ad for a very bad fetish site. *shudders in remembered trauma*

Year 4 (British), with the video of a fat woman giving birth (all of it shown) and then taking a massive shit on the baby's head. And they wonder I'm so fucked up...

I found out the other day that somebody at my college also suffered trauma at the hands of that video. She used to cry when she saw herself naked X'D

I don't remember how old I was, think around 15-16. I was watching MXC and my dad came in and said "how much do you know about condoms (or maybe it was sex)?" and freaked me out.

Well, my sister explained the process to me when I was young (one of the advantages of having an older sibling is they tell you all the stuff you're not supposed to know.) I don't remember what age I was, but probably around 5 or 6. The specific details I learned from health class.

I did ask my dad "Where do babies come from?" when I was 9 -- knowing the answer full well -- just to see what he would do. It made him uncomfortable, and he dodged the question. I can be a jerk sometimes. :D

They taught us the basics at school in sixth grade (11-years-old) and I guess my parents just never saw the need. The only sex related thing my mom ever talked to me about in a serious manner (meaning not sex jokes) was when I was 16 or so and we were watching True Life: I Have Baby Mama Drama (or some shit like that) and she said "don't be stupid, make sure he wears a condom" and then she just got up and left. It was pretty weird.

And I once asked my grandma what a virgin is and after a long pause she told me that it was someone that wasn't married. It makes me laugh now, but what a damn good way to avoid actually answering that question.

we had a selection of videos as far as i remember, might have been one of them, had a really dodgy cartoon about sex. and a video of one woman actually giving birth. i remember that because two girls and one boy fainted...

I got the talk around fourteen. I was pretty well sheltered till then.
It wasn't a particularly enlightening talk, so I went and learned more on my own.

Frankly, I think what they say curiosity did to the cat isn't so farfetched. Word of advice, don't be curious; somethings can never be unseen.
