I have liked a few animes, but never to the point of obsession, but FiM I cannot stop thinking about.

Hey, when girls and people other than 20 year old-some men start watching MLP, we'll be the ones who are laughing!Tanfastic said:MLP is for pedophiles that hope to get some underage girls with their pony knowledge...
I didn't want to have to bring this out, but you leave me no choice.Tanfastic said:MLP is for pedophiles that hope to get some underage girls with their pony knowledge...
(Now I wait to see how many pony fans freak out >)
But in all seriousness, its not interlinked.

Just for the sake of proving you right, has anyone watched Lion king? Well look up a video or image of it, and look at young Simba's eyes. Looks sort of like the kind of eyes found commonly in Anime or Manga, don't they?Kitsuna10060 said:why would an American show have anything to do with anime? the big eyes? they kinda stole that from us, actually
Its true. If you can walk around saying that you love mlp: fim, you are going to be more masculine and confident than if you went around hating it (easy way out).Silk_Sk said:Actually, the stereotypical anime nerd wouldn't be comfortable watching my little pony. I would say more confidence in ones feminine side is a more appropriate statement.Silk_Sk said:Actually, the stereotypical anime nerd wouldn't be comfortable watching my little pony. Watching and enjoying the show demonstrates confidence in one's masculinity.

that, and there was a 'lion king' done in japan, first, with a white lion i THINK it was Kimba or something like that we totally stole it XD, nice catch though, but there's a LOT of back an forthing between the manga industry and Disney specificallyFeralCentaur said:Just for the sake of proving you right, has anyone watched Lion king? had to quote you for the pure ballsyness of your statement, and if it helps, for me, its totally trueSilk_Sk said:Actually, the stereotypical anime nerd wouldn't be comfortable watching my little pony. Watching and enjoying the show demonstrates confidence in one's masculinity.

I gotta say, I don't feel feminine at all watching it. It's like if I was piloting a pink fighter jet. It may be pink but it's a GODDAMN FIGHTER JET. MLP may have all the trappings of a girl's show but it's a good show nonetheless. It'd be stupid to think the reason everyone is enjoying it so much is because it's girly.Peteron said:I would say more confidence in ones feminine side is a more appropriate statement.Silk_Sk said:Actually, the stereotypical anime nerd wouldn't be comfortable watching my little pony.
