I myself don't see any credible evidence in this world for God, nor any gods, to exist. Even if there were, I think I'd have to go with some of the ancient, extinct ones (Zeus, Odin, Ra). At least they were.. interesting; Odin wandering the landscape as an old man, or Zeus seducing young maidens disguised as a bird..
However, any Christians, Muslims, Jews, or anyone else who have belief in a higher power, and doesn't pretend to be better than everyone else because they "have their god on their side", but keeps a close-to-earth, level headed state on things, deserve my respect, and I won't ever quarrel about their beliefs with them.
You're allowed to believe whatever the heck you want, just don't try to push your religion down my throat, and I won't do try to push atheism down yours. Works wonderfully, as all my friends don't try to convince each other "that is real and that is superstition". Then again, most are either Christians, atheists or agnostic/skeptics.
