Poll: Trade my Xbox for a PS3?

I have been getting fed up with my Xbox 360 and I have started to be won over by the PS3.
Tell me what you think.

From what I have heard in the Thread, everyone is to preoccupied with it being my decision. I am aware that it is my decision. I was just looking for some outside input. Some further knowledge before making a decision.
On the grounds of own in both I can't see the point. There is not enough exclusives on either system to me to justify owning both. I was also looking at the games and the Xbox exclusives, i think I could live without.
Recently MAG has won me over, and the amount of money I dish out to Xbox is absolutely painful. (not to mention the mental strain when talking to their customer support when my xbox breaks every other month)
So yeah, I was just looking for some outside suggestions from anyone who cares to drop a line.
I have read every post so far and I am very happy with what people have been writing.

I dont care, its your desicion, depends what exculsive games you like more, or if you like prettier graphics for some more money and a bigger tv.

Perhaps you can tell us a bit more, as it's a bit hard to judge otherwise. Why do you want the PS3 instead of the 360? For example; Is it for the different; exclusives, hardware, controller etc.

As a fan boy, I side with the PS3 instantly, but everyone else is right, we need some more info before we can really help you decide.

Basically, if you like the functions of the ps3 more, and want to play the exclusives it offer, buy one.

If you do decide to get one, you have to get Valkyria Chronicles.

That is all.

If you can't get both keep the one that most of your friends own If you do like to play online and enjoy playing with close friends.

As I have a PS3 and am very pleased with it, I am somewhat biased towards yes.

if a game mentions valkries, i want me to be a giant mountain of manly muscle, wearing at least seven different kinds of animals, weilding an axe that would do well cleaving the yule log

(for those who dont know, the origional christmas celebration is most similar to the norse, this took place over a length of time, determined by how long the yule log burned. the yule log, well it was a whole tree more or less, just a little shorter)

I have both consoles, I own a 360 for over 4 years now, and my PS3 about a month. If I hád to pick one right now, and dump the other, I'd pick my PS3. It can do so much more, and while I like my collection of 360 exclusives, I don't love them that much to keep a 360 for, especially because I don't play online with my 360. I'd rather keep them both though, but right now I haven't played on my 360 for the full month I own my PS3, and that's not even mentioning the movies I play on my PS3. I looooove Blu Ray!

I own both. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a PS3 if I were you. If you can trade your 360 for one at no extra cost, then go for it, but otherwise, I'd just keep it.

in the 360s defence, summer has no new games out, and a new console means automatically 30-50 new games to play, im biting my nails over boarderlands

Good point, good point, most games I own for my 360 I've already finished. But I must say, for upcoming exclusives I prefer the PS3 list. The Last Guardian, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, they're all PS3 exclusives I can't wait to play. As for the 360...well, can't think of much. ODST doesn't really appeal to me (I own the 3 previous Halo games, but I wanted ODST to be a little more different), and I can't think of much else, maybe I've missed something. But the PS3 has another significant advantage for me: free online play. I sadly can't afford the monthly cost of XBL Gold (I live on a tight budget) and that really decreases the playtime for a lot of games, like Halo and Gears of War.

I don't really see anything appealing about the PS3. I have one, but I seem to have more fun with my PS2 than my PS3.

My 360 however has seen so much action it has it's own mileage gauge. It's up to you, but all I can say there is nothing the PS3 has that the 360 doesn't.

The whole Blu-ray thing is getting overrated too. It's not that big of a leap in technology. If you use your PS3 MOSTLY for a blu-ray movie player that is pretty sad.

Some of the "exclusives" people mention, most have become multi-ports anyway and xbox360 does have some exclusives coming out this year.

I still hate 2K for giving the PS3 BioShock. I still have my 360 version that has "Only on 360" on it, but now I know it is a lie. At least we still have Left 4 Dead.

Despite being a bit of a PS3 fanboy... no, I wouldn't.

Trading in your 360 also means trading in all your games, and, knowing retail stores, you won't get a good deal for your games. The costs will outweight the benefits, frankly. I had the same problem when I considered getting a 360 to replace my dead PS3.
