Only the early-and I mean VERY early-episodes were funny, then I stopped watching it
I recognize your avy.... what's it from?
It's from my favorite TV show ever, Megas XLR. Chicks dig giant robots.
That was one of my favorite shows! *facepalm* Damn, how could I forget it?
First, they cancel my favorite show *revs engine*
Then, people forget about it *revs even louder*
AND I CAN'T GET MY SLUSHIE!! Now, I'm mad!*revs loudest*
Don't forget! We're out of Philly cheese steaks!
That's it! It's time for...The Jammer!
And my memory fails me now... It was fun!
It's where a kareoke stage appears out of Megas's chest and Coop sings...very badly

See, this is why I don't watch Family Guy. Or American Dad. Or The Cleveland Show. Nothing good can ever come from Seth McFarlane. He has one concept that he remakes over and over and hopes that nobody notices.

I liked Family Guy back in its earlier days. I also like some of the newer episodes that stick to the original humor. But recently I got to admit it just isn't as good as it use to be. It's moved towards a more preachy show that isn't as funny as the old random-as-shit jokes you'd get from the earlier episodes. Some of the newer episodes aren't that bad, but for the most part I just don't enjoy it as much as I used to.
And as for the 150th episode, in my opinion it is one of the worst of the series. It doesn't keep to the old Family Guy formula jokes that made me like the show, too often I went off on some speal without any jokes what-so-ever, and some parts were just totally unneccesary. There were a few funny parts but for the most part I really didn't enjoy it that much. They could have done alot better.

I used to watch Family Guy, but it's later episodes seemed arbitary and perposterous.

So I'm glad I didn't watch that one.

My answer it is not there so I chose "it was hilarious"... the show was not supposed to be funny, although it had its funny moments. It was an experiment on drama, the character interactions, the underlying reasons for their behaviours, the colour of the undertones, etc. And Seth nailed it. It was very well done even if it let me feeling uneasy. It was another level of life parody and satire... the ironic copying of our lives and how we choose to react. Even the funny episodes are there, not just to give us a laugh, but to make us thing how stupid some of us are.

But the show is a comedy. It is supposed to be funny. Drama can be there, but it still has to be funny if it's a comedy. The Office did it, 30 Rock did it, but Family Guy can't seem to pull off either very well. More importantly, as I said, the shit eating kind of disolved any form of drama the show was trying to do.

The parts that were supposed to be funny, weren't. The parts that weren't supposed to be funny fell flat, and everything just dragged on for way too long.

It wasn't disgusting, at all.
Wasn't good though, but you can't say it was disgusting.

Hey, don't compare Family Guy to The Office! (I'm actually a big fan of the latter.)

OT: I don't watch Family Guy anymore, as it seems to be getting progressively less mature, and just flat-out less funny. This episode sounds like no exception.

Right, I don't want to get into my feelings of the show itself, as that'll start a big flame war, but I really want to discuss the most recent, 150th episode special.

First of all, why celebrate this number? Usually 100 multiple to celebrate with shows, 1000 if it's like a daily show. But 150 is just so odd, like someone said "Aw man, this episode is too long, and I can't cut it down! Oh, wait! We can just do a special for the... what number is coming up? Right, 150th episode! We'll have some time to fill, so let's just throw in some musical numbers at the end."

Now the episode itself was disgusting, annoying, and pointless. It was that awkward kind of comedy you'd find in The Office, only this time, it's so awkward that it kills any possible comedy. Basically, Brian and Stewie get locked into a Bank Vault after hours on Saturday, so much spend all night Saturday and all day Sunday in this vault. But Stewie poops himself within moments of the door closing, so the audience has to watch with their mouths ajar as Brian eats Stewie's Diaper clean, eats a pile of vomit that we have to watch Stewie produce while Brian ate, and then licks Stewie's ass clean. Really, I don't want to watch that. I really don't. It's not funny, it's not clever, it's not interesting, it's just really, REALLY disgusting.

After that, we need to watch Stewie and Brian get drunk off of some Scotch he has in his safe box. Yeah, what a nice message, a baby drinking. Then, Stewie has Brian pierce his ear. Why? What purpose does it serve? None. Is it funny? No. Would you find it interesting to watch? Of course not. So, why the hell are we watching this? In fact, it's disturbing that this is all happening to a baby.

There are a few other things that happen, like Stewie revealing that he needs to return a $3000 sweater he bought before the end of the day or else he couldn't return it, Stewie wasting the one phone call his cell phone had the power for to ask for an extension on the return for his sweater, Brian and Stewie getting mad at each other, having a drunken arguement, mentioning The Dog Whisperer, and some other crap before having a "heartfelt" moment when Brian reveals that he has a revolver in his Safe Box in case he wanted to kill himself, and then Stewie telling Brian that he loves him, and all that crap.

There were some musical specials, some aired, some that were cut after the main show, but they just served as padding to round out the hour, so I ignored those.

All in all, it was a stupid special. It was a stupid thing to celebrate only done to merit an hour runtime, it was disgusting, pointless, not funny, and I really am sick of this whole "comedy duo" of Brian and Stewie.

So, tell me what you think of the episode. Did you like it, did you hate it, do you agree with me, do you disagree? I don't want this to become a flame war, this was just something I have to talk about because it bugged me so much.

Also, in case anyone is wondering why I watched the whole episode when I clearly wasn't enjoying it, I don't know. I guess just because I wanted to see if it could possibly get worse. To my surprise, it didn't, but it certainly didn't get any better.
I feel alot of you missed the point.

They put it in there, as a pinacle of all the toilet humor they've ever done. Sticking Brian and Stewie in a bank vault was meant to reflect upon all the Stewie/Brian moments within the recent seasons.

The joke isn't within funny within itself. It was the situation around the joke that was meant to be funny, or for some, unusually serious and dramatic.

In fact, that's it. The whole episode wasn't meant to be funny. It was a serious in depth look at what are by now the main characters of the show. It revealed deeper insights into their characters and their relationship with one another. Each part in a way meant something relating to their times together. Brian often suffering due to Stewie's misadventures. When they're at ends with each other. When they get wasted on Scotch and do something ridiculous. When they have their last heartfelt moment of friendship in the vault. It all reflected on every one of their past antics as a comedic duo.

I can understand why many would not like this episode. Perhaps one of the most disgusting toilet gags in the history of animated television played for drama wouldn't be all that appealing.

Still, I enjoyed it. Without the cutaway gags, other characters, or even much of a plot beyond them talking, it allowed me to really get a good look at the nature of Stewie and Brian.

I remember when Family Guy was so much more random. Now it feels as if Macfarlane is making to many political jokes, which are funny, but not in this shows case.

I think the diaper gag (pun unintended) may have been based on the notorious "two girls, one cup" internet clip.

But, since I've seen neither the episode nor the clip, it's just a shot in the dark.

Yeah the episode was pretty meh, but it just seems like your whining, the dog eating shit, vomit etc is hardly as "shocking" as anything else thats been in south park or the load of other adult cartoons floating around. Oh and saying that stewie drinking is a bad message to send out is pretty pointless, people who watch family guy know exactly what it comes out with, if there is someone who doesnt linke the content they could have switched off at the point where stewie actually started talking bout eating his shizz, if they had been watching it as far as that point then they must have either been in denial or a lil bit simple.

It was a new low in television. Disgusting with almost no attempt at humor at all.
