Really? You had to? Who forced you to vote in this poll exactly?

OT: I voted for a major party; Lib Dem. They've done a decent job in the past, and it's a close vote. I'd rather have them than Conservatives, the other major party in this constituency.

I'm going to vote Lib dem when I go to vote later. I really don't want my Tory MP to be re-elected and I really like the Lib dem candidate. The Labour candidate has no chance of getting in here, so its also a tactical vote to try and kepp the Tories out nationally. Also, roll on electoral reform!

I haven't voted yet but will be fairly soon. And it will be a major party. Even though I have little faith in any of them. Chances are it's gonna be a hung parliament anyway. Hooray :-|

I'm not allowed to vote yet, next year I can though. Another disadvantage of being 17

Nothing quite as crass as who you voted for as that would probably be illegal, but what actually did you do?

Just as a confirmation: Liberals/Labour/Tories are classed as major parties.

It says UK Election Day in the title. Maybe you could have used that information to realise that if you're not British, you probably shouldn't use the poll. He doesn't have to add an option for everyone, if the poll doesn't apply to you then DON'T VOTE

Lord Mountbatten does not require to be led, for he is a staple member of the House of Lords, one who may choose his political leaning at will, and often creates his own (with a significant following I might add) through sheer force of will.

So long as my splendid country estate isn't removed from me, I am content with whoever happens to be pretending to govern, except those damned Communists, or the Whig party.

tbh i dont really keep up with or care about politics granted im 17 but still, at the end of the day where going to end up hating the guy in power and using them as a nice convienent blame figgur anyway. im not trying to be a downer or anything i just honistly belive we need someone to hate/blame and the more powerfull someone is the more likly they are to become that figure.
Then you've no right what-so-ever to complain about anything that the government comes into power.

You know i thought it would be interesting to make a poll like this earlier to see how many people actually voted etc etc but when i went to do it i couldn't be bothered and went and made a sandwich instead, so good on you for not being as lazy for i am.....

As for my vote i voted Labour as while i would of voted lib dem my MP is Ben Bradshaw and he is actually really good and active in issues of the community so i voted the way i did given our stupid first past the post system wouldn't allow me vote the way i wanted ie for Ben Bradshaw as my MP and for lib dems as the party of my choice as the Additional Member System would let me do.

Personally i think this election is too important to "waste" votes on fringe parties as Tory and government are not two words i like to put together in a sentence and they have a real chance of gaining power today.

I voted for a major party. It's often difficult to decide if you're voting for the individual MP or for the Government as a whole... but I think I made the right choice.

I voted Major but only because I will leave the country if one particular party get in. Usually I vote for something small that I actually believe in or the Monster Raving Loony Party because quite frankly if I thought they could win I would always vote for them anyway. I'm all for SOCKS BEING SOLD IN 3's! :D
Sadly they arn't on the Ballot in my area. However, they have come up with ideas in the past that have become law such as Pet Passports. Does this mean mainstream politicians are mad, or the madmen are the sanest ones?
And reducing the voting age to 18 was a MRLP policy.

In fact, for all the mocking they recieve, most of the decent ideas that have been widely championed as good policies originated with MRLP.

I also support thier alternative to rediculous "Wheelie-bin chips" to weigh the contents. MRLP says "just take the wheels off". If the homeowner can't carry the bin to the curb on collection day, its clearly too heavy and you should recycle/waste less.

I'm in the UK but not a citizen and therefore can't vote.

However, I've been trying to convince my left-leaning friends to vote LibDem and my conservative friends to vote UKIP or BNP or a regional party. Anything to sap the Tory support.

Voted for a major party. Won't say who, though you can probably find other comments I've made in the past few days on this site (that tell you who I did vote for). Here in Leeds, the local council has been in recent years a Lib Dem/Conservative coalition, with the leaders being Lib Dem but Conservative holding a majority of seats. Let's just say that if I have my way, that won't be changing anytime soon... ;)

I can't vote yet.
It did sort of annoy me that my school was turned into a polling station, however.

We're too young to vote (ONE YEAR, DAMNIT) but we had a ballot in Sixth Form

I voted Labour (I can say this, because it was a fake election in a school, so it's kay) because although I'm more liberal than socialist, I abhorr the Tories (I'm Scottish (Dundee!) it's in my blood) and I think that Labour is the safest pair of hands we have (even though they caused the recession (the local problems, not the generally global mess))

A lot of people around here are generally unfazed. Northamptonshire is a Conservative stronghold, much to the malign of me, my Dundonian dad, my Liberal Brighton mum and my Middlesbrough politics/history teacher

There's a suprising amount of liberalism, though, in the schools
