Nothing truly insulting was really said. If we carry on all that would stop. People would only be allowed to discuss with their leader/representative what to say and then at the question time the leaders discuss the goals of their party without attacking other party goals.Eggsnham said:We negotiated peace after a five hour flamewar. What has happened and is the madness over?
Nope, this was quite real. Unfortunately.oppp7 said:I can't tell if this is serious or a parody of the mudslinging BS in politics.
Maybe you're right and it wasn't necessarily a flame war, but it was getting out of hand. As it stands currently, Demented Teddy has created a group which aims to stop such arguments such as this from happening, and to enforce some of the policies of both the major parties in the election. If you think about it, that would probably be the best idea.
Considering that the average Escapist has no real direct control over the site and that the Warchief is merely a title, we should all throw our hands in to help the Escapist, not just one small political party.
Anyways, I wouldn't expect the election to continue, as I'm trying to get a mod to make this thread into a stickied thread to teach people what NOT to do during an election.
For nostalgia's sake, though, you were close
