What about the Iraq war? It removed Saddam from power. After all...He was committing Genocide on The Kurds ( i think that is how you spell it). You know a tribe found commonly in Northern Iraq. With the gasing and bombing of innocent people...yup no good reason for going to war.xChevelle24 said:Actually, as this current war proves, it does NONE of those things.War Chief Will said:War is it good: It helps stimulate the economy. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........What's your take on war?
...And look who we replaced him with? A guy who America chose to be the president, not the people of Iraq. We might have removed a tyrant from the throne of power, but we replaced him with someone that the Iraqi people didn't want there. Being the arrogant pricks we are, we don't care, you either adapt to democracy or get crushed by the Countries that have adapted. There are far worse threats than Saddam Hussein, seeing as how he wasn't threatening to launch nuclear missiles.War Chief Will said:What about the Iraq war? It removed Saddam from power. Im compelled to post pictures of the consequences you consider the "joy of war". But ill most likely get banned. I really wish you think twice about what you just posted.War Chief Will said:War is it good: It helps stimulate the economy. Makes use of ALL the equipment the tax payers PAID for. Agreed. War is often said to be a positive motivator............wow i feel stupid for even typing that. People, you realize we were perfectly capable of creating nuclear energy without having to research it as a weapon first. All we needed was someone to say, hey! what happens if we split an atom. Trust me, if human aggresivness hadn't brought us to that boiling point, human curiosity would have found its way there eventually. I think war is, currently, inevitable. But over time I think humanity will evolve so that we arn't so aggresive and we wilol have a serious bid at peace. Its happening already.Undeed said:Some of you seem to believe that war is the single most significant source of scientific advance or the main support of our economy and therefore justifible. We should not depend on war, that merely encourages it, makes it a more often occurence. Many of the rest of you seem to believe that it is a nessecary evil. I am inclined to disagree, I feel that we have never truly attempted peace. The strategy for peace has been deterence, to have bigger and better weapons than any who would oppose us. This is not peace. This is fear. This is a delay tactic. The only way to obtain peace is through unity. This may never occur, but we can still move twoards this goal.
can you say "realist" in a very sarcastic tone, then breath "neeee-ga-tive" in a sing song under your breath as you walk away? I know I can.Grimm91 said:War is in every way the necessary evil. Its been ever since the dawn of recorded history and will remain until the end of this earth.
Sorry but its the truth, there is no way to truly end war. There will always be something that sparks conflict. I'm not negative it just the way that things have been throughout world history.Lullabye said:can you say "realist" in a very sarcastic tone, then breath "neeee-ga-tive" in a sing song under your breath as you walk away?
