You can say ***** and jackass you know; you don't have to censor yourself.
but i fear the BANHAMMER
I've never seen anyone who took a Banhammer to the face for swearing (not to say such posts didn't have swearing).

eh, should'a cracked her in the mouth and gone along with your night. talk as much at you want during the previews, shut up during the movie , cept for laughs of course. if you didn't dishonor the rules, shut her up/deliver prompt asskicking. if you did, then learn the lesson and apply it to the next show you see.

i say you were in the right on this one.

Sounds like you were a tad bit irritating, but I don't see why she has to use "Metal retard", its not nice.
A "metal retard" would be awesome. Brings a whole new meaning to "retard strength".

Of course it could refer to someone who is fried and listens to alot of heavy metal. Or even someone who knows absolutley nothing about different metals like iron and steel. But a retard made out of metal on a rampage, that is a movie I would go watch at midnight.
How subtle.
Sometimes mistypes are more awesome than the originally intended statement. ;p

Hell, since I reckon my friends and I wreck cinema experiences for people all the time, she was either very irratable, or just in a bad mood. Mind you, all we do is just whisper loudly, we don't yell at the cinema screen. That might have just been the issue. But waiting all the film to say that, is just stupid.

Speaking of which, what was the film like?

Cant you see? She's a die hard smurfs fan who thinks they need a live action piece in New York.

I saw hp & half blood prince last year, there was myself and three other people in the screening. I was sat on the third or forth row (I have to walk with a stick so sitting in the cool seats is out!) and the other three were sat right at the back. Any who, I laughed a Dumbledore's knitting pattern line at which point one of the lads walked all the way down to me and told me to shut the f*@k up. I was so shocked. He then spent the next twenty minutes hurling abuse and popcorn at me (at one point calling me a f*@king cripple). I walked out in the end and complained to the staff, who informed me that "Oh they work here!" I received a letter of apology and two free tickets, but the lads still (to my knowledge) work at the cinema.

You can't just say, she should have told you to be quiet, because some people try to avoid confrontation. Maybe she felt uncomfortable saying that to you knowing she would have to sit next to you after saying that. Also, she maybe didn't move because she didn't want to make a scene or really wanted to sit in that particular seat.

In all honesty I can be rowdy at films aswel, especially in a group of friends. But don't start moaning when people complain about you or call you retarded.

In short, what she said didn't bother me. However, I did want to open it up to the board for you to judge for yourselves and ether slam me or her.
Let's see what you've done till now.
You came to an forum to tell everybody what happend to you. But you said it didn't bothered you. And you let us judge her and you, yet you still won't let any criticism stand against you. You also brought a friend, who will testify any statement.
I would say that it does bother you.

I won't judge anything on something that is only presented on one side. Maybe you more annoying than you thought and your friend won't notice because she's used to it.
Also laughing before something funny happens? And clapping? That is annoying.

Don't even consider taking the ***** seriously, I know people who would tell you that you have ruined a movie just so they can laugh about it later, it's a jackass thing to do but they still somehow find it funny.

No matter the reason, she was out of line with what she said. It comes down to the fact that no person should disparage another. Even if the person in question was mentally challenged, there would be a more pc way of handling it without being so confrontational. Bad form on her part.

...

How does BOOING at a TRAILER ruin the MOVIE? Hell, I once booed at a trailer for New Moon, but no one heard it because they were cheering.

And Mentally Retarded drunk? People shouldn't talk about themselves like that.

How old was she, anyway? What's an ADULT doing watching a movie meant for kids? Sounds pretty fishy to me...
