Hey, I went Pagan first, my mum followed me because she thought it was cool.
Your mom is such a sheeple. Gosh.
Heh, mom.
Yes, just a little bit though,
I've kinda gone off the whole religion thing now.

I never regularly went to church until we adopted my brother and my mom found out he didn't know who God was. So we started going regularly. I was even an acolyte for a long time (like an altar boy in Catholicism, but without the molestation). Over time, it became increasingly clear to me (no matter what church I went to) that it was nothing but hearing stories to teach lessons on how to live life and then a great big gossip/status gathering afterwards. Not to mention all the inconsistencies in the source material (the Bible). So my view changed to atheism after some further research into differents religions as well as my (former) religion.

I went to a Church of England school and got all the kiddie bible crap rammed down my throat for a few years and didn't take a blind bit of notice of it. I suppose at that stage thought I kind of believed in God still. Then I actually looked into Christianity and the Bible in a little more depth and it discouraged me from organised religion even further. Learning about Christianity was what turned me away from it.

As you should, bloody Yanks. For the last time, it's colour, with a 'u'!
Our economy is in a down-turn, we can't afford to spend our "u"s all willy-nilly.

I pretty much stuck to the religion my parents taught me. I read the bible start to finish and it made sense to me.

I don't have a religion these days, though I've always said that strong fandom is weak religion. Too bad I can't work up enough enthusiasm about anything to have even strong fandom. I can't even commit to posting to one website at a time on the days when I decide to do so on a whim.
I guess my agnosticism runs too deep for that. If only the Catholic Church were more like the 'Meat' of Scientology and less coercive, then maybe I could have fun with a religion based upon a Science-Fiction book rather than Fantasy books. It is the 'Universal Church' after all. Flying Saucer Jesus swing low and carry me home! That would settle the question of his race. Space Jesus is Grey.

My religion is Christianity and it was influenced by me, and only me.

Sorry, forgot to mention: My friends were atheists, my parents didn't bother with religion and my grandmother taught me that religion is wrong.
your grandmother had the right idea, for religion leads to hate, and hate leads to the dark side...

religion is a pile of lies in any form, an no, science, agnosticisum and ahitisum are not religions. and for all the "i like the deli lama" people, he thinks he is a god. in thiland the king is ment to be the god Vishnu, a 6 limbed elephant. the whole "religion" phenomonon is really quite absurd.(i believe in talking, burning foliage and things which cant happen becuase if i dont i will burn in hell) the whole thing is based on fear.
Religion is a good thing as long as long as it teaches people not to hate, such as middle eastern terrorists who kill for their "allah". I am strongly Christian, and believe that violence is for the most part wrong. so what if Jesus never existed, why should it matter as long as Christianity made me a better person.

I just ignored that bit because it didn't make any sense to me. :p
But now I am filled with understanding (and cough drops.)
Also, there was supposed to be a 'y' behind the 'almight'.
I'm a bit sloppy with spelling at the moment, sorry.

And what happened to your avatar!? I only just noticed.

Seriously!

As I've stated before, I follow the Codex teachings of the Principles and Virtues (go look it up), which is more a life philiosophy than a religion. My father, when he was alive, was Catholic. My mother was Christian at one point, but has been a Pagan since 2003.
