Poll: Weed - Legal or Illegal?

Hiya guys im in the UK and live in south east. Weed over in my little area isn't a big deal the worse you get is a bust but it never turns bad they just get caught. I smoke weed now and again maybe a whole splif (a slightly larger fag with weed and tobacco in)over a month me and my parter or both earning money though legal means. I see no problem with weed its a natural substance yes im awear that the tcp or whatever is of balance because of the way it is grown. Im not heading in any direction with this btw just that it seems silly the illegalis something that has been growning on this earth for soooo long.
Isn't it the tobocco that makes it addictive?

I say legalize it because, I myself don't agree with smoking pot, its bad for the neighborhood, but I say tax it and sell it and lower other taxes, similar to what the government did with Alcohol and tobacco.

Just because its "Better" than cigarettes does NOT make it ok. Cigarettes and alcohol shouldn't even be legal, but they have been around for a very long time (especially alcohol). You can't just take something as addictive as cigarettes away from a population without MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR problems or else it would have already been done.

Look I am trying to be open but you are making it quite hard to take in the argument. I thought I was bad at being overbearing. I am just talking from personal experience and research I have done on the internet. All the research I have found says Weed IS addictive physically in large continued doses and is psychologically addictive. I can only go with what I know from experience and from I have seen from my own research.

completely understandable. try checking the dates of the studies. and who conducted them. peer reviewed is always a plus too. many government studies have been proven unreliable or false... again i strongly urge u to read up on how and why it is illegal.

no. it's not just the tobacco that makes it addictive.

personnally im not sure what to do with weed. legalising it would be fine. good for tax money and so on but once it's legal perhaps use will escalate and be on par with alcohol and tobacco and that increases the burden on the NHS and cost us tax payers more (UK centric this.)

not legalising it keeps it under ground and all the problems that come with it.

I've heard all the arguements and counter arguements about weed, from what i've seen personally in my life, excess is never good in most things.

this is why it should be legal. so it is no longer a "drug". theres HUGE differences between any 2 substances... u cant classify them as all the same.

Thats some pretty wishful thinking there. Also, you don`t seem to have a rpoblem with Alchohol or tobacco. Is it because they are socially accepted?
And for all I care, it should be legal. If people want to muck up their lives, thats their choice, and as long as they keep me the hell out of their downward spiral Im ok with it.

Sorry i ment to add that. Drinking and smoking should be illegal to sadly i don't think that will happen so i'd prefer we dont have more terrible things become legal. Thats my stance, there all bad and we shouldnt be doing neither.

also why is it so bad? I beileve i should be master of myself, i do not want chemicals changing how i act even in the slightest. Geeze people we may not people to keep our bodys a temple but at least keep it as a decent looking mansion lol.

Tobacco is a plant. Most alcoholic beverages also use plants for fermentation WHICH IS THE THING THAT MAKES IT ALCOHOLIC. Maybe if you weren't high all the time you might know that.

Also, that wasn't even my argument you idiotic stoner. My argument was that both of these terrible things are too deeply rooted in society to be taken away, or they would have.
