I'd grab my roomate's Xterra, rob my local Dick's for guns n' ammunition, pick up some foodand bunker down in one of the 11 floor dormitories on campus. It'd be pretty easy to barricade and great for helicopter rescues. Plus that's where my lady is, so I'd have to at least try to protect her.

I'd be at disneyland because no one will still be there lots of food drink and I could set up a hammock on a rollercoaster and sleep safely while zombies can fall through the tracks and if anyone steals this idea I will cut you when I get to disney.

Columbus. The safest place from zombies. or Bill's Fireworks shop. Just one bullet and KA BOOM!. that or a hotel and endless supplies of hot girls, food, and things to kill zombies. I mean common who would think to look in a 5 star hotel

Though the math says a mall is the safest place, they fail to take into account the large and easily broken windows that face out around many of them, as well as the panes of glass that are to be found in pretty much all the doors. All easily broken, also, malls tend to have way too many entrances for a single person to really fortify and keep secure.

A prison on the other hand. Easily fortified, and as a bonus, some have yards secured safely in the center of them, surrounded by concrete walls, making them perfect for gardens and such to keep up a sustained source of food. Also, you'll have weapons, medical supplies, and even access to things such as machine shops and libraries, both can be essential in a zombie apocalypse scenario. The only downside is the prisoners themselves, which, depending on how far you're willing to go to keep yourself and those with you safe, can be either simple to deal with or quite problematic. Basically, you can either offer them their freedom, hope they either go away from your prison or conform to whatever leadership you have and stay and be productive to you, or, plan B, kill them all, or even use them as zombie bait.

A mall has been mathematically proven the safest place.

I'd go there

Well, oddly enough, I came up with an idea for a series of stories recently that would be based around a group of characters who survive a zomie apocalypse in my adopted city, at my university. The main character would hide out in his house first, which is basically my house. Then he'd find one survivor who he teams up with in a retail park nearby, then another hiding in the block of flats on campus where I lived last year. Easy to barricade there, you see, since there's only two ways into each flat (though it does border a graveyard on one side. An actual cemetery on campus...). Then these three would find the final two survivors in our student union, which is actually pretty hard to defend. The party would then make it's way to the TA base in the middle of the city centre, where they would hold out until evacuation in a thrilling 28 Days Later style of thing :D.

So yeah, that's my plan...

If we're talking about the slow moving Night of the Living Dead zombies, than I'd hump it over to Wal-Mart for three basic things.

1. Two Crowbars
2. Dried Food
3. Distilled Water

If we're talking about those crazy fast Left 4 Dead zombies, I'd stay home and keep quiet until the screams of stupid people lure the zombies away. Then I'd take my motorcycle and gun it for the nearest ferris wheel, ride it to the top, and just chill.

There's an IGA not too far from where I live. It's secure, no windows, 'cept for a small one with metal bars behind it, two entries, both can be closed via roller-doors, then barricaded for extra precaution.
Heh, there's also an army surplus store across the street, for blades, bows and survival equipment.
Plus some pretty sweet hats and shirts.

I voted police station, but kevlar won't help you shit. It's just that the Nijmegen police station is practically an island. It's on high pillars, next to a steep slope, and the way to the main acces is a small bridge.

Behind the fence is that really deep and sudden gap, and it's built on pillars from there. So it really is basically an island. It's ALSO in the middle of Nijmegen, so I think there'd be a lot of the fuckers. Which might not be so great, actually.

EDIT: Also, not going to Ravenholm.

I got Fort Meigs near my house and there's also a mall with food stuff...but i'd rather have an underground bunker.
