Just an FYI, it's always better to ask someone out in person.

OT: I've only ever been on one date, and I do remember it.
I know, but I will most likely never see this girl in person again.
Erm, then why did you ask her out?
Because I really like her, and I do want their to be a reason to see her again.
Oh, sorry I see, I might have misunderstood what you said.

Good luck dude!

If we're talking about properly asking out, I asked a girl out about a month ago. I knew she was into me. She said no, because she couldn't handle the distance.

She has dated long distance quite a lot.

Aaaaah good times, gooooood times
I was a very sterotypical fat nerd in high school, with glasses, grasy hair, braces, the whole sherbang. First girl I asked out was a little emo kid from a city about an hours drive away, and she said yes! (I was 15 at the time, I'm 20 now) It changed my life. From then on I've not had a single problem with girls, but before her I was a socially crippled idiot. Now I'm a class clown idiot at university and have had loads of girlfriends in the past few years (well... not loads... 6). Not sure if it was her who changed things around and brought out my confidence but I like to think so

So yeah, could change your life

I would have asked her out in person, makes it more personal.

You also need to relax, get yourself a drink. If you're not old enough to drink... well I'm out of ideas, alcohol makes the world a more friendly place.

Interesting fact about me:

I'm 19 but until 2 weeks ago I had never asked a girl out. My 3 previous girlfriends had all asked me out first!

Relax.

There is a lot more of this to come in your life. Some of them are going to say yes, and if you think you are anxious now boy oh boy are you in for a shock....
I just would like to point out your Butters avatar is apparently passing his mannerisms over to you.

OT: I definitely agree with the other posts, asking them in person is a lot more meaningful, but of course with school out that probably is a bit more difficult to do. But a phone call is still better than a text.
Best of luck with it though.

I've never asked a girl out. I assumed "pancakes" was the option representing that.
I second this motion.

[sub]That's like a fancy way of saying "This.".[/sub]

Yep was in person and she started talking about her SO gay best friend who she thought she had more chance of a relationship with (trust me it makes as much sense to you as it does to me)

Yeah, was about two weeks ago...

Meh, wasn't that nervous, partly due to it being slightly impromptu, and partly because of the circumstances.

Dating came after the making out. We were friends beforehand though, and we both sort of saw it coming. Been together since in fact. :D

Yes I do, she had the common courtesy to use me as a fallback guy and then run off with someone else. Isn't life just fucking fantastic? :D

I am currently in the process of weighing up my options with a different girl, although I am assuming friend zone and a dignified "no" will be the result.

Then again, asking someone out is like diving head first into the emotional equivalent of a band-saw so what you have just done is indeed insane, but also brave and if she says "yes" I'd suggest you think of things you and her have in common and begin planning a good date. Can I suggest to stay away from the cliché date locations, she will be far more interested if it's an original place that both of you will enjoy, it shows you know her, rather than knowing a stereotype. Just an idea.

Yup, I asked her out in person and she said yes. The relationship didn't last long, but it was my first and wasn't my last.
OOPS, sorry about my last quote, it was ment toward someone else.

Of course I remember. She said no. She is still my best friend and I'm hanging out with her tonight. I'm so miserable.
