Poll: What do you prefer Face Book or The Escapist?

Excuse me for saying this.... but f*ck facebook.
Its the worst thing on the planet. Its beyond boring, and needs to be shut down.

The escapist? Its bold. Exciting. Addicting. Fill of fun people and is the pulse of the video game community. Its everything you need in a website. Ever.

Well, besides porn ofcourse. But some of the jokes posted are beyond orgasmic so youve gotta work with what you got.

They are for different things. I visit The Escapist for the forums, Facebook for some socializing, social news, events, it's also great for different news. I get my favorite artists' and sports team's news there.

They are totally different things after all. Recently I've been more on The Escapist, but that changes every now and then.

You can block it you know, so you'll never see anything related to Farmville, or any other game like that, anywhere in Facebook.

I don't use Facebook much. I check it once a month if that. I do like being a link to some friends I don't see anymore. I should probably delete it. But thats takes more effort.

Well i am on the Escapist for over a year now. And i joined Facebook yesterday, out of pure boredom. So what do you think i prefer?

Facebook = handy communication despite clumsy filters.

Escapist = fun.

For me, they're only comparable in that they're both online.

I'm actually only realizing this now but I almost stopped using Facebook since beginning to actively post on The Escapist. I have both tabs open all the time but I find myself with much more to talk about here.

People ask me why I never update my FB status. I tell them it's because I rarely have anything to say to the rest of the world in general besdies "Fuck off".

I'm not terribly active here for much the same reason. Every so often I'll post and spout my drivel which is usually ignored, and that's fine.

Unless somebody specifically asks me, I run under the assumption that nobody cares about what I'm eating today, what sport I like or which shade of the color blue I consider to be the most emotional.

I only have a Facebook account so that if someone sends me a link to something on Facebook I can see it. I don't think I've ever gone on there specifically to talk to someone, and I certainly don't go there to tell people when I'm doing my laundry.

Good for you! I closed my Facebook page too a while ago. I didn't want to join the site in the first place but my older brother forced me to... >_>
