Personally, I think they're okay. Some of them are a bit out there and give us bad press (See: Chewfox [Maury], Sabrefox [CSI], Kiira [My Strange Addiction]) but a good percentage are OK people, if a bit nerdy.
Yup thats basically my view point on a lot of thingsJedoro said:Whether it's tolerance or apathy, a lot of stuff doesn't bother me, furries included.
you are over generalizing, not everyone does that, I have never done that, hell i expect halve the people that recognize my user name and avatar don´t take me as a furry, i would like you to realize that yes, there are people like that, but taking the whole fandom.Ickorus said:What do I think about them? What do I want to say to them? Stop being attention whores, most people don't really give a shit about what you're into.
I really hate when someone talks to me and right away states they're a furry, why not just 'Hi, im Bob, nice weather we're having today' I honestly don't need to know about your fetishes so why mention it, it's not a defining factor of who you are so STOP BRINGING IT UP.
There are plenty of people in the world who WILL find it disturbing[footnote]And I see no issue with them for feeling that way, not everyone is going to be tolerant of things they don't like.[/footnote] so stop being so surprised that when you mention it by way of introduction that someone somewhere is going to say nasty shit to you.
It's your own damned faults when people call you names, stop bringing your fetish up in unrelated conversation, keep it to the furry message boards.
Yeah, but the "Yiffers" (*sigh*) have taken the term "Furry" over in average conversation. And you non-sexual Furries are just going to have to get over that fact, I hate to say. Not all furries are wanking to anthro stuff, but enough of them are that it's become interchangeable in the common lexicon.HentMas said:you are over generalizing, not everyone does that, I have never done that, hell i expect halve the people that recognize my user name and avatar don´t take me as a furry, i would like you to realize that yes, there are people like that, but taking the whole fandom.
other than that, not everyone is in it for the "fetish" you are confusing "Furry" with "yiffer".... don´t google that with safe search off, being a furry is more about taking an animal and idetifying with it because of the characteristics it represents (IE: I´m a bunny, i like cute, fast and agile, cotton tail, long ears etc.etc.etc) not about the sexualization of anthropomorphic characters. (again, thats a Yiffer)
I apologise for my accidental generalisation, it seems that in my rant mode I forgot to mention I have no problem with people who don't try shoving it in my face.HentMas said:you are over generalizing, not everyone does that, I have never done that, hell i expect halve the people that recognize my user name and avatar don´t take me as a furry, i would like you to realize that yes, there are people like that, but taking the whole fandom.Ickorus said:What do I think about them?
