some classes I'll only miss when I'm really sick, like today when I skipped all 4 of my classes, all 4 of which I really enjoy, because of the flu.

But other classes which don't require attendance and have a subject matter that A: I'm already familiar with and B: Doesn't interest me (like my physical sciences 101 class last year), those are the classes that I skip on a daily basis. Those classes that I'm just taking for a credit and can pass without any real effort.

Several things. They are, in no particular order,

1) Death of a family member or friend
2) Doctor's appointment
3) First day of deer season (What? It should be a national holiday)
4) EXTREME weather (almost impossible in Erie. Hell would have to freeze over before the public schools would be delayed two hours.)

I've normally got really good attendance, mostly because I'm too afraid of the wrath of my mother should I be caught skipping or something. Nothing less than throwing up will let me stay home.

I'm too much of a people-pleaser to skip. Goofing-off in class is an entirely different matter though. (I'm in Civics right now.)

Way back when I cared, it took a serious illness to keep me from school. But in my later high school years, I skipped all the time. Didn't care at all. (Don't do that by the way. It fucks with your job hunt later in life).

Only missed one or 2 lectures from being hungover last year which I considered a pretty good effort.

my last economics class on a Wednesday morning lost a few due to the coach for away rugby games leaving early. never going to sip out on rugby for economics

Under most circumstances, the only way I will stay home from school is when I'm throwing up all over the place. Even a massive sneezing fit isn't enough for me to consider missing any class.

Sheer laziness, I'll skip if I'm sleepy...or playing a game...or anything else for that matter.

Actually I've been good this semester, since I hate wasting the money that I'm spending to go here.

If I get more than 20 minutes out of any class, I have to take an exam on it. And if I fail, I will have to go to more if I want to finish the ninth grade. Being sick can't stop me because even being sick and having a note means does not excuse me out of class. I have to give a request by my parants 10 days in advance in order to be excused. So I have to pretty much die to ditch school. It sucks.

I go to the university. Everything is voluntary, so I'm currently avoiding all IT-classes because I find the IT I'm having right now too easy.

I can't afford to miss class! I'm in university! I paid to get to those classes!
Sad you have to pay. I mean, I paid next to nothing.. approx. 80 dollars for the first half-year.

I'm feeling lazy, tired, etc. In fact, I skipped today because I was too tired to get up.
Good Luck with life, it's NOT going to get easier or less hard you know
