Sleeping-in mostly, or if I happened to see some kind of pale goddess on my way there.

But broadly speaking, attendance is all I have to do to pass. I rarely study.

"An unhealthy ammount of apathy" about sums it up, though if "Nothing" was an option, that would be my choice. Unhealthy, I know, but what can you do? Class is boring.

There is no one reason whY I skipped class in college. It could range from laziness to hangovers to just having something else I would rather be doing that day. i went to a big ebnough school though were attendance was not monitored, so I was lucky.

Ridiculous weather. Winnipeg has horrendously cold winters (Hurrah for -40 and 50 days), but it still takes about ten feet of snow before they'll close the damn schools. In fact, I can't recall there ever being a snow day. Since I live so far from school, I just don't bother on days like this.

I go when I don't feel like it or need to do work for another class. I am also in college and teachers don't care when people do that.

Sleep? Behind on gaming? Can't be assed to? Friends wanted to go get lunch?

It's a lot easier than needing a reason. Just...go somewhere else. Ignore the guilty feeling of wasting a portion of your money. Just don't do it too often, otherwise you're paying to not be somewhere.

Where's the "Sexy blondes" option?
Though this man says it well enough, though it goes double for Brunettes, and whole weeks can disappear in a moment's blink for redheads.

Several things. They are, in no particular order,

1) Death of a family member or friend
2) Doctor's appointment
3) First day of deer season (What? It should be a national holiday)
4) EXTREME weather (almost impossible in Erie. Hell would have to freeze over before the public schools would be delayed two hours.)
Haha, where I live in Upper Michigan we get 3-5 days off when hunting season begins, which is followed by thanks giving break.

It's hilarious how much of a hick town I live in, the only reason they made that rule was because back in the third grade half the staff and students. would be "sick."

This thread probably doesn't apply to me since I'm in high school, but the only times I've missed class were when sick or having gone on extensive vacations (i.e a couple of trips to Disney World in elementary school). I wasn't who'd you call a delinquent.

Besides, if you miss 5 days in a semester at my high school you don't get course credit, and this includes illness with a doctor's note. Don't ask why, I have no idea.

Well, I have a habit of sleeping through the early morning classes. But the Uni I'm on exchange at is draconian in it's attendance. You can miss three classes per module a semester before something bad happens. I've missed two from oversleeping (whoops)

Usually if I'm sick or mentally overwhelmed. You wouldn't like me when I'm overwhelmed.
*starts turning green for some reason* What the-? Not again.

When I was in college the following things would prevent me from attending class.

Rain, snow, cold weather, hot weather.
Additionally if I was tired, hungry, or sick I wouldn't go.
Or if I had a paper or something important to do.

I missed a lot of classes.

Skiped class one time when we were to spend 2 hours doing something I had already done the day before.
