Ok everyone, last time I did a poll, I got blasted for being a spammer of topics (If this sort of poll has already been done I'm sorry I didn't know)

Anyway, I wanted to get peoples opinions on what i has been the best designed controller over the years, I am a bit of a PS fanboy myself but I am going to have to say the Gamecube has the best controller (it felt like it was molded to fit my hands perfectly when i bought my Gamecube back in the day
It felt so natural with its layout and comfort, it just felt right

I wanna hear your opinions people

BTW: I wanted to make a the poll, including Dreamcast, Megadrive, Non Dualshock PS controller, and NES. This is a request to any moderators out there, please make the poll selections with more fields, maybe 15 would be good.TY

I'm a big fan of the Duke. My hands are on the large size, so I like the size quite a bit, and it was the first dual analog controller than I used that both felt comfortable (the Dualshock is a bit small and the sticks are oddly placed for my hands) and had a game worth playing with it (Halo). The 360 controller easily takes second, it's miles better than the S and I'm comfortable with it despite the size. The N64 controller was novel (analog, three pronged, and a trigger) but Nintendo sure can make the least comfortable controllers on the planet.

Edit: elaboration.

I agree with the gamecube controller for the same reasons, although my friends at the time felt ps2 controllers were better but it always felt akward using both the sticks at once.

the current xbox controllers are very good as well

Why is there no NES controller on that list?!?

Seriously, you get a D-PAD and 2 buttons. That is all you need!

My vote is for NES...

360 controller is the best. I've used all controllers over the last few months and everytime I came back to the 360's controller it felt just right.

To this day, NES Advantage. Best controller ever.

I have always hated the Play Station controllers. They always felt too small, like they were made for little girl hands.

I have large hands with long slender fingers. I used to like the PS controller but after my hands became large I found the 360 controller to be amazing. I guess it is all a matter of comfort.

I prefer the 360 for shooters, it's the best in place of a good old mouse in terms of accuracy, and I prefer it to a keyboard because all the buttons are in a convenient place and there are less of them. The PS3 is the most technologically advanced with it's accelerometer, USB rechargeable battery, and WIFI connection.

I liked the 360 controller, because it was a little smaller than the original XBOX controller, and I much preferred the right/left bumpers to the white and black buttons, as well as the centralized location of the start and back/select buttons. The PS2 controller is second for me, though, probably; if for nothing else because that's what I used for years before I got a 360. Buttons were well placed and it wasn't awkward. If they had made good wireless ones when I was still using them, they might beat the 360 controller for me.

The original Dualshock, just for its incredible functionality and was the best controller in the planet when it was first introduced, Its 2 tightly-sprung analog sticks were precise and easy to operate, its quad shoulder buttons were easy to access, and it was the first to have standard rumblepacks.

Its a serious tie between SNES and Xbox 360. I'm leaning towards 360 controllers simply because of their smooth and sleek builds and they arent as big and bulky as their predecessors. However, the one thing that is literally weighing it down is well, its weight. with the battery pack on there, it losing points from me. I never noticed how heavy it was until I used my PS3 controller. Since I don't really use my PS3 though, this isn't much of a problem.

Also, It might just be me but does the trigger styled r2/l2 buttons on the PS3 seem to get in the way? Does anyone else feel this way?

The dualshock for me, as it introduced the use of the stick on a joypad and was very comfortable to use from the word go.
