What is real is what I think is real, what I think is real is me.
What I think is real, is really what I think is really real.
What is really real is what is real to me.
That's what's real.

Looks like someone is a bit poetic, no?

Quite an epic first post.
And extremely controversial in nature.
Interesting nonetheless. Welcome.
Religion itself is controversial. Even talking about it negatively is a surefire way to get yourself noticed (usually badly)

Nothing is real, this all a computer program created secretly by the Soviets in the 1970's. They implemented it in 1991, when they discovered time travel, and made us think that they had collapsed. Right now, you are all in cryogenic tubes, living in the computer simulation. Welcome to the Matrix.

Too bad the whole Communism thing didn't work out as well as time travel.

Religion is a moral-based system.

It was also used to control the people. With the threat of being burned forever in an after-life if they didn't act right.. Well you should see where I am going.

If you haven't noticed.. The church has constantly updated its morals. Things like sex are seeing less punishments for it, because everybody is having sex.

Yes, this I know. I believe the chruch does that because they want to appeal to the general population. (more followers=$)

Actually, the Commies created Christianity also, with their time traveling powers. Jesus wasn't Jewish, he was a Communist.

Oh, and a little bit more to add.... anyone could be right in a topic like this. So please feel free to add something.
I'll add something.
Go read the Book or Revelation again.

You misinterpreted almost every reference to it that you made.

Try again.

Ok, so your interpretation of the book is the most absolute and accurate? Then give me a couple corrections... I am SO willing to hear them.

Yes, that is the role of the church in current society with freedom of religion. Churchs make lots of money from people donating so they don't burn in an fictional after-life.

Seriously? Really? That's what you're using to discount my entire opinion?

Wikipedia should serve as a starting point for you to do your own research. I didn't post it to tell you off or serve as some kind of ultimate argument finisher. But, if you find something there that appears competently written, has sources, and challenges your traditional view on these topics then you owe it to yourself to do further research.

If not, then, well at worst I walk away from this discussion a little annoyed. You walk away from it ignorant. Your choice.
Wikipedia, being your "haven" for information, is a publicly run website that anyone can add information to. I'm not excluded you altogether. I respect any reply. Give me a site that is run by a college or library, then i will research and judge when i have time.

I did not say absolute and accurate.

Corrections?
First of all, God himself isn't going to lead the army to defeat Satan.
I would incourage you to not buy into a certain large church's deliberate mistranslations and misinterpretations. coughCatholicscough

If you must know, I don't accept any random society's beliefs until it is a proven fact. I'm not even Catholic. I'm undecided with my creed at the moment and people like you don't make my decision any easier.

So you just happen to use the Catholic method of interpreting Revelation when you 'don't accept any random society's beliefs until it is a proven fact.'

Nice.
