Poll: What is the most popular thing to hate around here?

From what's on the poll though, that's a tough one. My first thought would have been Bioware, but you didn't include that either. I guess I'll go Sony, though the reaction to Sony here seems rather muted compared to other sites. I am predicting there will be a Bayformers hate wave coming, but it's a little too early to have crested here as of yet.

Near misses include PETA, Fox News, British Tabloids, Australian Prices/Delays/Lack of 18 rating, Lady Gaga, Valve/Not Valve, EA, Sony, Bush and Uwe Boll.

MLP and FF13 don't even come close.

This. Most hated thing on Escapist is the US.

Although I do agree, I find hating on the US is the most popular fad on about every website.



Besides the US, I think Sony comes into a very close second. And not because of resent events either(though those do help too), I've found that the majority of users on this site are either X-Box gamers or PC gamers and a minority-esque of PS3 users.

While I'm normally the devil's advocate when it comes to the tastes of others, I just can't stand it.

Reading it is like watching your worst enemy bone your sister while having a gallbladder infection, with play-by-play by John Madden.

You know what it is that everyone here hates the most? Games.

I've noticed that, even with everyone spouting a profound love of the medium, people here just like to hate games. Not even particular games...everyone here pisses and moans about every game, and they all constantly get in fights over them. Out of everything mentioned above, games receive the most flak.

That's what I thought too. Every time there's a thread about something even remotely bad happening in the US, out comes the hate patrol to tell us everything that's wrong with it. It's extremely obnoxious.

Right now, Probably Sony (though it should be the hackers if people had sense).

Hey, check this out. So there's this new thing where you can be upset with Sony and the hackers AT THE SAME TIME! You aren't forced to love one and hate the other, you can have the same feeling about both of them at the same time! Crazy, I know!

Seriously, that "why aren't people hating on the hackers?" crap is getting old. It's pretty much implied that just about every last Playstation Network member wants to see the bastards responsible for the intrusion brought to justice.
