Rip off of "Dances With Wolves"? That's new to me. But why would that be bad? I liked "Dances With Wolves"

"That the movie makes people depressed after they see it becasue our world is not a beautiful at Pandora" because our world is bigger and much more beauiful than Pandora, we need to open our eyes more

I'd say that the biggest problem with the movie was the hype. Hype leads to flame wars, leads to divided forums, leads to the DARK SIDE.

I hate how people can bash something for lack of originality. Something doesn't have to be original to be good! So what if it shares the same basic premise as Pocahontas or Dances with Wolves! As long as you can tell a good story, it doesn't make a fucking difference what the story is about.

That being said, I do think that the Feminists and the depressionist are the worst of the bunch.

The funniest controversy was the epileptic guy who died from watching the movie. What the hell did you think would happen!?

6. That it's making evicted Chinese citizens realise that the government is evicting them from their houses.

I would have though that the government bailiffs knocking down their doors, and bulldozers destroying their property would have been a big clue, but no, it took a film about blue aliens to make people realise what was happening to them.

*sigh* the fact that people can't just accept the movie for what it is? a beautifully crafted masterpiece for some, and shite on a crusty roll for others. Stop doing this to everything people, just leave it alone.
If there are people out there who accuse it of being prejudiced i say "yes, and i am sure you have been perfectly understanding of everybody your entire life." it is not prejiduced, it is a freaking MOVIE!!!
To those who think that it is stealing ideas, "I would like to see you people come up with an idea that is totally original and new in terms of NEAR FUTURE military technology. Can't? Well that's because of a little thing called the 'Megatext'."
To those who boycott it because there were no gay na'vi or humans, what the fuck? Is it now necessary to have at least one character who is gay? is that really the road you want to go down? Forcing your personal choice down others throats? Because, correct me if i am wrong, that has been the problem you people have faced for centuries.

They didn't copy dances with wolves. They copied the Disney classic Pocahontas.
I thought they copied Ferngully, given the monster truck was a direct rip off.

I can go one worse.

Certain people coming out of the cinema said "I wish our world could be in 3D like Avatar."
Are you serious?
I'm afraid so.

The feminist one takes the cake for me. Who bloody cares if the females aren't as muscular as the males!? It's the same way with humans and you don't see the feminists protesting against Evolution/God/whatever!

Damn, I couldn't vote for any of them because they are all pretty silly things to cause controversy over and couldn't make up my mind.
