Yeah Forgot that one I suppose but they ban any movieSnootyEnglishman said:Where's the part about China removing the film from all theaters? The other choices seem outright stupid and pointless.
Sorry if I sound like a douche but James Cameron only directed the second film, Aliens. The other films all had different directors and this has absolutely no bearing on the design of the ships in Aliens though.buy teh haloz said:James Cameron made the Alien movies
Banned may be pushing it a bit =P. Considering that the movie will still be showing until at least March. (http://zhidao.baidu.com/question/134010556)DazWolf said:China has banned the film for reasons they are doing the exact same things to their people that happen in the film. >.<
James only made Aliens, and the art design came from this other guy whose name i cant remember, its on the making of the alien moviesbuy teh haloz said:James Cameron made the Alien movies, so saying that he copied the ships from Halo is bullshit, considering that about, what? 80 percent of Halo's art design is pretty much copy-pasted from Aliens?
Feminists thinking its sexist is really ridiculous even considering there's like a bajillion movies out there where women are treated like whores.
I don't think the smoking one is much controversy. There's so many movies and other forms of media in general where the characters smoke.
But really?! AVATAR DEPRESSION?! Shit, I'm depressed that fucking movie even exists!
well I've tried doing a little research, and I couldn't find any reference to the drop ship in Alien, so it looks like it first appeared in Aliens.Alpha1089 said:Sorry if I sound like a douche but James Cameron only directed the second film, Aliens. Ack. I've been quoted by a Brit, the least tolerable of all nationalities to us Aussies. Jokes aside, the one time I don't proofread a comment and I manage to retard it entirely. What I forgot to add was that even though the other films were directed by different people, I'm fairly certain that the dropship first appeared in Aliens. Hence the other 3 films having no bearing on the design of the dropship fromMr Ink 5000 said:well I've tried doing a little research, and I couldn't find any reference to the drop ship in Alien, so it looks like it first appeared in Aliens.Alpha1089 said:Sorry if I sound like a douche but James Cameron only directed the second film, Aliens. I know from my days being movie obsessed in the late 80's to mid 90's; Cameron has alot of creative input regarding the designs on his films.
Also the Ariel HK's from the Terminator remind me alot of the Pelicans from Halo (the manoeuvrable compared to the propellers on the wing). Cameron had a big input on the design of the Terminator.
So I've gone for the Halo option in the poll. I think it's fine for Budgie to be inspired by great sci-fi. I don't think it's cool for fanboys to then say the guy who inspired some part of their beloved franchise, ripped said franchise off.

It does make sense. But people want stuff to complain about, so they find stuff to complain about.Dark Knifer said:I didn't even know about the feminist thing... I thought it made sense...
So Cameron ripped off his own movie then... that's not just lame, that's extremely low.link within said:I don't think it matters they copied the ships from halo. I mean, halo just ripped them off fromthe alien moviesAliens anyway.
