Yeah, Ubisoft probably should have been an option. They're definitely up there with the worst. Although I'd say they're the least masochistic of the worst.

But for me it's EA. For pretty obvious reasons. Everything the other shitty companies have done EA does too, so there isn't really much to consider.

Well, I was going to say EA right up until someone here reminded me of Illusion Software. So my vote goes to them.

I would say EA, but then again, I don't hate their products. I like my battlefields. I would say Activision, but they have some good games in their catalogue aswell. I would say Ubisoft, and I was going to strongly go for that one, but then I played and fell in love with Far Cry 3, which I enjoy to the very last bit. Seriously, I can barely find any faults to the game, it's just fantastic. Also, Ubisoft is making Watch Dogs, a game that I'm very looking forward to.

EA because they murdered Bullfrog and Westwood and keep reviving C&C in the worst ways possible and that can never be forgiven.

Oh and as a heads up hating on a company is perfectly fine seeing as millions can hate on one person otherwise you're muting one hate over the other because you think you can decide what people have to hate and not hate.

Also not childish.

Valve, because their fucking un-turn-offable autoupdates make the games I've payed for unplayable.

Fuck you, Valve. Why give an option to disable auto-updates if you're just going to goddamn ignore it?
Steam -> Library -> Right-Click game -> Updates -> DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE THIS GAME

Edit: I haven't had problems with it. I told Left4Dead2 to stop downloading fucktons of mapdata because I had my own LAN server set up for my home network, and it did exactly that: did not update the core game.

I have no strong liking of any of them, however i can't pick one which annoys me more then the rest, as there business practices are all quite shady,However pretty much all business is fairly shady to some degree.

Frictional. Why? They get off to me whimpering in a corner begging for the cosmic monstrosity to stop scratching at the door...

Okay, okay, From... They purposely made Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor be so brilliant on paper and made it obvious how awesome it would be with a controller, the move, a big ass peripheral or if the Kinect worked but they still made it for a shit piece of tech just to piss me off!

Ugh... Fine, I'll conform. EA... But not for the reason you think, I am not a fan of online passes or their various other shitty practices, I like a lot of their games... No, I hate them for being all like;

EA Executive - "Hey, y'know how Bad Company 1 had an amazing campaign and was original and was just generally really good in terms of single player?"
Developer - "Oh... Yeah, that was the best..."
EA Executive - "And y'know how it was always fun..?"
Developer - "Totally..."
EA Executive - "Well we want you to make a campaign that is shit by comparison, so average and focus all the development cycle on multiplayer!"
Developer - "But we could make both absolutely amazing... Wouldn't that be better?"
EA Executive - "No! All attention to multiplayer!"

So yeah, I hate EA cuz they fucked up Bad Company. And before someone points out how good the multiplayer is; I've never played it. I bought the game second hand before I knew the online pass was a thing and refuse to shell out another £10 on a game I spent £38 on! Okay, so I guess I hate the online pass a little...

I'd like to conform to the 'EA/Activision' hate train.

But can't. I don't deal with ether cause they never make anything worth while.

So, I choose Nexon out of the company's i actually deal with. Mind you, I'm really tempted to say 'Bethesda' but i don't buy the shallow, bug riden, over rated crap they make

I think he means that there are more than a few games which are only purchasable through Steam.

Either you can get a Steam copy, or you can't get a legitimate copy of the game at all, which I think is kinda shitty.
While this is true, I'm sort of fuzzy on how Valve forced the developers to do only a Steam release of their game. I thought it wasn't really their doing.
You don't have to release PC games on Steam, but its a good idea to due to:

Its digital distrubition hardware and software is already built and works.

A MASSIVE install base.

Has a rabid following who will not buy your game if it isn't on Steam.

So almost everyone uses Steam to take advantage of those points.
*sigh* What you said is true but explains releasing on Steam, not exclusive releasing. Again, that doesn't explain how are Valve at fault for exclusive releases.

I thought he was talking about how many new releases use Steamworks, so even if you go to a brick and mortar store you still have to use Steam if only to install/verifiy the game.

Oh, gosh, one user made a somewhat perplexing comment, which I asked for clarifications about. Another user told me what they thought it was about. Then you came and tell me a different thing. I'm just being led around in circles! By different people, no less. It's like I'm holding a conversation and switching partners along the way, each of which is holding a different conversation than me.

OK, then what the hell was the "monopoly" there for?

None at all.

I like at least 1 game from each of those companies, so Whatever they do I am ok with it so long as the games they make are FUN.

/end.
Pretty much this. It is idiotic to hate a game company, not to mention rather childish. Sure dislike the some of the people who run it, dislike some of their practices or some of their games, but to right off an ENTIRE company? That is just stupid.
You realize your neutrality and negativity against those concerned is bad for the future of gamers and the development of the industry. I dislike Zynga the most because they don't make games to be fun or to progress the industry, instead they make millions from purposely copying other games, selling ads in games and charging money for in-game items.

Edit: Whoops, quoted wrong guy originally

Well, in terms of PR it would be EA.

I dislike how the handle the franchises they swallow up as well, but there's still a reason they can make the mountains of cash.

In terms of making an actually terrible product...I couldn't say. It would have to be something that is objectively awful, not just subjective to a person's tastes, such as that one game about the trucks...is it Big Mother Truckers? The one where nothing in the world is solid, and you can drive your truck up the sides of mountains, totally defying the laws of physics?

probably EA, mostly because of their stupidly numerous and overpriced DLC, its like they make half the game and content and split the rest up for DLC
because they said they will never make a single player game again, adding on stupid shitty tacked on multiplayer
and because they want to make my pay extra just to PLAY the DLCs that i have already payed for!

You know what? I've gotta ask.

Why the fuck do we need a million of these threads? OP, have you not figured out the general consensus around here yet? Or are you just milking responses from forum goers who will never pass up an opportunity to complain?

Use the search function, look up one of the numerous polls that have been done quite literally in the exact same manner before, and compare poll results. You will have your answer.

Because if we don't have all of these threads, how will we all remember that nobody likes EA's PR?
