I'd like to pick more than one. I like achievements, I like designing (or copying :p) good strategies, I like myself some multiplayer action, and I own a Wii simply because the last tennis game I enjoyed was for the N64 xD Ah, the goode olde days.

on the poll, I think I am a Number cruncher or trophy/achievement whore, but I am really more a "single player story gamer".

I play a few strategy games, so I'll do some spading to see if I can pull a fast one over any competition. If this means maths, fine.

Total number cruncher. I'm OCD and a perfectionist, so what do you expect?

I don't go through a game to get all achievements, unless I really enjoy the game and want to keep playing, or the achievements are things I like, or stuff that naturally appeals to me. Once you include a scavenger hunt in a game, I'm all over it.

I buy a game, I finish it and I let it rot on the shelf .
Or I buy a game, I find it utter crap, quit playing and I let it rot on the shelf.

Unless the online and/or local co-op are fun enough of course.

I'm the type that squeezes every last drop out of games(and movies, books, ect. explaining why i love LOTR.) and try to go very deep into the subplots. I also have a low tolerance for crap.

there's no option for multiples... oh well...

one of the reasons I buy games (rather than say... rent them or play them then return them) is because of replay value. I like the story and I'll play it over and over just to beat the story.

I also look for multiplayer value in games. Kinda like Yahtzee I hate online multiplayer... unless I know the player.

I'm a combination of a multiplayer hound and a numbah crunchah

What about the type of people who like plot-driven games? Sign me up for that. Enjoy a bit of story.

Just a guy who plays games. If I like it, I'll play it again and again and again. *cough* Kingdom Hearts II *cough*

That said, off the poll listing, I guess I'm an "on the move" sort of guy, seeing as I love my DS and PSP, and do play on them an awful lot.

Actually, a better term to describe me would be "guy who plays games that are old" seeing as most of my collection consists of old games and console, with a healthy dose of "games are art hippy" thrown in there.

Shooter whore, oh how I love to feel like an actual hyper lethal vector in Halo Reach, or just sit back and snipe in MW2 when I'm not being noob tubed or shotgunning someone in the face in Gears, or just raping in general

I'm just in it for the fun.

Party, social, and trophy/awards whore. What can I say, I want to have all the trophies I can get then brag about while playing with my friends.

All of the above. I play games that involve number crunching (RPGs, finding the optimal stats) to trophies to casual party games to story-driven games to competitive multiplayer to "playing to win". I lean more to competitive multiplayer, but I do enjoy most of these options.

I play games for a number of reasons, so I can't really pick any of the options.

Sometimes I'll play to get all of the achievements (eg CoD:MW2), other times because I love the story and gameplay. Some games produce different outcomes based on my choices, so I'll replay them to see them. I enjoy a bit of multiplayer as well, whether it's FPSs or Minecraft (which is gaming crack, but in a good way).

Other times, I'll play a game once, just because I don't see any point doing the same thing again (I'm looking at you, Medal of Honour).

hmm well i just play for the fun of it. to enjoy the epic story/characters/environment the game is to unfold upon me.

so i have no idea where that would apply..as i play all types of games, but mostly rpg's, so i dont have much of a classification (and im not hardcore and i dont do the number crunching stuff so not those..)
