I actually quoted you to some friends of mine who think that clinging to a girl will make her love them. I hope that seeing my words from someone else will help them learn that we don't want slaves... we want partners.

I mean I'd like a slave too, but that just isn't very emotionally satisfying ;)
Awesome! I hope they understood our point of view a little better. =) I like some freedom and room to breathe in a relationship, and I love myself enough to be happy without my significant other around me. He should feel the same way. Oh, and dudes, this seems to be a common misconception but: Having confidence does NOT equal being a jackass. It just means you are happy with who you are. That is not a fault. It's okay to be at peace with oneself.

And... Ohhh, YOU KNOWWWW... I wouldn't mind a slave for maybe just one little 'ol dayyy if I could have this one:

A copy of me, but, y'know, not me?

Oh, and I'm pretty sure this guy's voice of honey and dreams having sex with angels could lull me into the sack.
Or Morgan Freeman. I'd fall for him.

I'm not a girl but I'm bi with a female bias, and as such, I tend to go for the more average to feminine, slender guys whenever I get to paying attention.. so is it ok if I play too? XD

I like the sweet, cute, geeky-nerdy guy, or like I mentioned before, the "pretty" feminine type, but not the flamers, which annoy the piss out of me. I can't stand stars or the "jocks" who I'd end up wanting to sock in the face.
So THIS is Raiden's demographic! I don't know, did you play MGS2? I know some people liked it.

I personally found Raiden as annoying beyond all hell, but he seemed to fit with what Kojima thought some people wanted. Maybe the "sensitivity" got lost in translation and became "pretentious whiner", or at least that's the way I saw it.

And if I'm gay for ANYONE it's Solid Snake. Yeah, there is a lot of freaky Otacon/Snake slash fiction out there.
I didn't play the metal gear games, but I know the character, and ironicly, overly girly looking anime-ish characters in games bug me. So I didn't like him XD There's a differnce between "feminine male" and the "flat chested woman" characters like in final fantasy characters. I like the men to be men and women to be women, but when they're mixed so ambiguiously, I don't go for it.. and I can't explain it ha ha ha.
Lol, mind if I quote you if I ever go on a "Why I hate MGS2 more than the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy" rant, I really do hate Raiden so much.

And Kojima has pulled a George Lucas since his Magnum Opus MGS1 (except MGS3 which briefly reversed the fail-trend). God I'm such a nerd.
well I doubt my words would be very convincing :D I think in the western world Raiden appeals to the teenage yaoi fangirls/boys.

I really am gay and even if I look straight, *shrugs*
I'm sorry that last part made my brain hurt, saying you look straight, what does that mean. Do you think you need to be floating around to be homosexual because if thats what you are getting at then BLARGH to you. I'm not sure why every gay guy has to be stereotyped as being effeminate.
wait wait, slow up I'm sorry if anyone took offense to that statement. but that last part meant that the way i dress and act and talk would get me classified as straight till someone asked. I know that gay guys all aren't fem and talk with a lisp and so on, that's not what i think it means to be gay at all. My idea of gay is a gay that is truly attracted to guys and not girls, I personally fit this bill. The last statement is more of a remark that its hard to attract guys when you look like your not interested. sorry for the confusion.

Bruce Campbell... and anyone that reminded me of him.

I'm pretty sure any guy would, regardless of sexual orientation

I dunno, since I practically live in Jerk-Town (I would call it something else, were it not for my moral codes), you can't find a good looking guy without him being stupid, a player, or a douche. Seriously.

So...I guess whoever's nice to me and nice to other people would be my choice.

I go for hot guys, often a bit feminine as all my male relationships centre merely around sex so the personality is usually not an issue, though I do like someone who's funny.

I think to a lot of self-proclaimed "nice guys" that's exactly what it means. To most 'nice guys' the definition of jackass is 'any man who can interact with women better than I can' so if you're not another complete social retard and you have a Y chromosone then you're a jackass.

Talk nerdy to me. I love this.

I'm an currently studying an english major and I really like the kids studying maths/physics/engineering stuff. I know its the natural order for arts majors to hate science majors and vice versa but I like people who understand things that I don't understand. And I like it when people explain it to me. Especially if they do it with a lot of hand gestures. I have a wicked hand fetish. Mmmm beautiful phalanges....

It depends, I've fallen for several kinds of guys. however my current object of affection combines being one of the nicest guys I know all while being spine crushingly cool (people are actually jealous that I'm his friend).

But he's awful at taking hints.

Or gay.

I'm actually a little bit surprised this thread has six pages! Oh well, cool. Guess I'll post.

I usually attract extremely needy boys, so someone who's confident and has their shit together would be nice. ...I love nerdy boys, especially if they're a different shade of nerd than me. If he rants to me about Linux while I'm gushing over my polyhedral die, that would be fantastic. I actually enjoy having dissimilar interests because of the discussion it sparks...

Annnnnd I like beards. Seriously, guys, STOP SHAVING THOSE THINGS OFF. Dammit.
