I have 3.5 So I'm rounding up to 4. Well it's 3.5 on a 4.0 scale anyway. My school goes up to 4.6 since they weigh honors and AP classes differently. I actually like it better this way so kids who don't strive to take harder classes don't have as good GPA's. That's in high school by the way. I'll be going to college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute this September. Since that's a pretty tough school, my GPA will probably go down, hopefully not too much though.

In school, my methods were sporatic, but I was able to do something to impress my professors, usually in big projects or comprehension of the material. And it turns out I have some mysterious health problem tied to my womenly cycle that's mapped perfectly in my grades. Still, I got out Cum Laude, so not too bad.
And there was the start-college-at-14 thing which was honestly better for me; if I was forced to go to highschool, I prolly would have been in therapy.
I also have an exam tomorrow - S.G English. There's a huuuuuuuuge break between the end of the writing and start of the close reading, though. I'm really not sure why.Serving UpSmiles said:

This semester the difficulty has cranked up so while I was bordering on a First before, I may have to settle for a comfortable 2:1, but from a decent university I guess that isn't so bad.
I did very well through high school and am on track to do pretty well at university (British that is, none of your silly numeric grading for me!)
However, the grades you receive in high school literally only matter to get you into university. After that no one cares. I'm job hunting right now and apart from certain careers like teaching, no one actually wants to know what my high school grades were, they only want to know either if I've finished uni, or what I'm supposed to be getting when I finish uni.
So I'm sort of mixed on the whole thing. If you don't get into a good uni then obviously things won't look as good on your CV, and getting into a good uni requires good high school grades (mostly) but on the other hand I know people who got into good unis without excellent high school grades, and people who got incredible high school grades who didn't get into good unis, so the system as far as I can see is totally broken.
