My Little Pony Threads. They cause as big a flame war as Modern Warfare and Battlefield threads. And they are all either "What is the deal with MLP?" or "Do you watch MLP?"

There's been a lot of whats with all the hate threads. No matter how good a game is there will always be someone who hates it.

Eh. All the above, I guess?

If you're talking about right now, I'm going with MW3/BF3/Skyrim threads. Currently, there are just too many threads for my liking about whether MW3 of BF3 is better (they are two very different games! Stop trying to compare them!), and there are too many threads about what you will do when playing Skyrim.

As for which thread there is generally too much of, I'm gonna go with MLP threads. Whether they are a newcomer wondering why people like the show, a fan trying to argue against haters, or haters themselves, all the threads do spawn a massive flame war. And it makes me as a fan look bad, because people start to think we are trying to shove ponies down their throats. Although the pony threads haven't been very plentiful as of late (tonight excluded), which is nice.

Well, I go to the MLP:FiM forum group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/MLP-Friendship-is-Magic] if I want to discuss ponies.

I hate threads from these lonely bastards who talk about "how nice they are to a girl they love, but they don't love them back". Way too many of those here. Also, the depressing "My life is shit, I'm depressed" threads in the advice forum are annoying. I helped as many of them as I could possibly can at first, and realized there were too many of these, so I gave up. Just go outside, people! It isn't that hard!

Skyrim threads, way. to. many. for something that's not even out yet.
fallowed by last character/game threads

and a distant 3rd :/ MLP, not because of the number of them(really there aren't that many anymore) but because of what ends up happening in them, sad we can't even have a one civil conversation 'in the open' with out it turning into a flame war.

I'd say people need to grow up and just get over it, but given how many on this site that aren't even old enough to drink yet, fat chance there

Too many pony threads....wayyy too many. Most of the others are fine, seeing as this is a website about gaming, plus its always something new. For ponies, its always the same old stuff.

On the "hot threads" thing on the right of most webpages I'm seeing 2 threads about my little pony. What's sad is how par for the course this is. It seems like people either can't believe how many people are watching it or how many aren't watching it. I think it's safe to say that there is nothing else that can be said about the subject, and that we should all just drop it.

While the last game/character/etc. threads are pretty old, I'd also have to add the CoD Hate threads, the Anti-CoD Hate threads, and (of course) the XBox 360 vs. PS3 vs. Wii (with a little PC thrown in) threads. And those are just the video game related ones, don't get me started on the Advice forum.

too many question threads appealing to whatever someone's opinion is about any trivial thing or issue, despite the OP or most people not actually giving a damn about their opinion?

everything in this post is hypocritical and i'm ok with it

Skyrim threads. I got so tired of it, I made a drinking game based on it just to help me forget.
Goddamn is the hype is unnecessary.

Yeah, pretty much. Most of them seem to be about defending the fandom, but I haven't seen too many people that hate ponies per se; the worst I've seen are just people who are tired of them. If only we had some way of catering to the fans of MLP, while at the same time, moving them away from those who want nothing to do with them; you know, to satisfy both parties...

There are to many... Pony threads?

Are you people browsing some other forum, or something? I rarely ever see Pony threads, and when I do, they're normally made by someone who's not even a "brony".
Indeed. Tonight has been a particularly fantastic night.

For the first time in a while I have an excuse to post about pony on the forums.

Most days there's not a topic in sight. So I don't see how there's too many. Skyrim on the other hand, seems to have at least 3 threads created about it per day.

I need to finally get used to using the groups, by the way. I need to get around to responding to someone in the chat, or something. But I'm just not used to it.

I'd say it would be the doom and gloom "oh hardcore gamers are a persecuted minority, it's all casual games and DLC and filthy, filthy console games". They're all written by pretentious twenty year olds who think it's somehow intelligent to act like a bitter old Baby Boomer, and there seems to be a new one every week.

Seriously people, stop it.

An Ulver fan that's a brony? That's pretty intense, just sayin.
Heh, I'm an intense kinda guy. I like to think a bit of 'Giggle at the ghosties' after burning through 'Nattens Madrigal' balances things out somewhat. Makes for a nice bit of diversity. :3
I bet it does. Can I assume you listen to Agalloch and/or Arcturus as well?

- "What [something] do you like that nobody else does?" Cue dozens of teenagers talking about this garage band/indie game/art film that you probably never heard of, they're pretty obscure, but I think they're pretty awesome.
- "What [something] do you hate that everybody else likes?" Cue dozens of teenagers lambasting Halo, The Godfather, U2, Modern Warfare, The Dark Knight, Michael Jackson, etc; all of them expressing complete bafflement as to how anyone could possibly like these things.
- "Why all the hate/love on [something]?" These are just a restructured form of thread types 1 and 2.
This pretty much. For anything you think nobody else likes, fucking google it. You're pretty likely to find a fansite.

Something you hate that everyone likes? Again, fucking google it. I'm tempted to attempt to make FGI an actual phrase.

For topics I hate more than that? I hate the "how intelligent do you think we are" threads that pop up from time to time. I mean come on guys, are we really that insecure about it?
