If Borderlands and Call of Duty 4 are any evidence, Yahtzee does review heavily demanded games (with the exception of Mario Kart), so do you think if heavily demanded, Yahtzee will review Heavy Rain?

Even more so, do you think he will like it? He himself said that QTE's should be made an integral part of gameplay if used, and Heavy Rain is pretty much that. Also, Yahtzee has stated that a good story is as important as good gameplay. Do you think Yahtzee will overlook that the gameplay is all QTE's in favor of the story?

EDIT: Keep in mind that Yahtzee is a "Games are art" kind of guy.

EDIT 2: 500th post WOOO!!!!

I voted no, because he will be saying "If I wanted to see a movie, I would have rather saved the 40 dollars and saw a fucking movie."

If it doesn't suffer from Indigo Prophecy Syndrome, he might like it, I suppose.

He'll probably say something along the lines of "it was an interesting experiment, but it failed", along with what baseracer said.

He probably won't, for the same reason he dislikes JRPG's.
He dislikes games where he as a player doesn't contribute anything to the story and seeing as Heavy Rain consists entirely out of random gameplay-gimmicks popping up out of nowhere, I reckon he'll get the same feeling here.

Except that the story is supposed to change based on the player's actions.

As a critic he'll tear apart every fault he can find and abuse every metaphor he can to do it. That being said, there's a possibility he may like it. But, with the likelihood of people mailing him to review it, he's most likely going to take it down just to spite those people.

Yahtzee's problem with QTEs is that they're used badly. To paraphrase him.
If you're going to use them, make them a core part of gameplay.
As long as the story is ok he probably won't have a lot to complain about.

Does anyone care? Really?

I mean, I'm apparently one of the few who still finds his videos amusing, but that's it. They're amusement, not serious reviews.

He may. He's big into story, and Heavy Rain is a story telling experience.

Everyone's bashing QTE's as if they themselves are horrible. They are a bit irritating, but mainly when they pop up unexpectedly and you die if they are not pressed.

And seeing as there are number of games that employ a lot of QTEs that he enjoys - Resident Evil 4, God of War, and I still think he enjoyed Indigo Prophecy somewhat, based on what I can infer.

It doesn't really matter if he likes it or not, it's his job to hate it in a funny way. Even if he loves absolutely everything about it, he'll still find a fault somewhere and spend 5 minutes making it funny.
