Honestly, he'll tear it apart whether or not he likes it. He seems keen on story- driven adventure games with artistic underpinnings; on the other hand, he's caustic, abrasive, and funnier when he's insulting something.

A: Watch his bioshock review to see why his review will not be an appraisal.
B: The man once said "I like it when the narrative and gameplay go hand in hand." That doesn't seem to be an accurate description of Heavy Rain.

I know Yahtzee likes interactive art, but not just plain "art"; which is what Heavy Rain is. I realize there are probably a whole bunch of pre-scripted choices in the game, but I guarantee there will be decisions unaccounted for that he'll hate on. As long as we focus too much on this idea of a branching story with fullscreen "DO THIS OR THIS?" choices I feel that everyone is missing the point of the whole "games are choices" thing.
A normal person with a normal life? You play several people, desperate to catch a psychotic killer, that kidnaps children and leaves their bodies in wastelands five days later! Seeing as how everyone likes it when he doesn't like a game, and hates it when he likes one, I think this is a no brainer. He isn't a "reviewer" because he is sycophantic. He's mostly a comedian who plays on the whole, "I'm an bitter gamer with seventeen too many cups of coffee." So my guess is he won't like it.
Try $100-$110 for a new release. That's for consoles though, PC games seem to be about $90 on release.Catkid906 said:

Well, from his Condemned 2 review, he hinted that he enjoyed Indigo Prophecy/Farhenheit which is made from the same company that is doing Heavy Rain. So he might approve of it, but it all depends on if it actually reviews it or not.
Alas, my Magic 8 Ball is busted and my crystal ball has a scratch. Guess this means just waiting to see if he reviews it.
