Okay ... there is a teeny, tiny flaw.danpascooch said:You made some decent points, but where the hell are you going to get a Talon Riot Vehicle?omega 616 said:Handgun ... with a silencer, see what I did there. Hehehe.danpascooch said:Handgun isn't good for slow zombies, MAKES TOO MUCH NOISE, you should avoid them, and you would only get exhausted if you made a long distance trek, and yes it does matter how loud you are, because if one of those zombies walks in front of the car, you can't just plow through it, that would damage the car, if you make a lot of noise, 20 zombies might walk in front of the car, then you are fucked.omega 616 said:1)hand gun? Ammo? 'cos you never know were the next time you can it might be, maybe a bit of food just incase there is a long run of finding looted stores.danpascooch said:1.) What do you need to carry? There is a whole world out there to loot.
2.) I would only be exhausted if I had a specific faraway destination in mind, But for a "relatively safe loot point A to relatively safe loot point B" transportation, it'll do fine (You could do long distances too, it would take awhile, but car's make noise and need gas and can't get around obstacles as well)
3.) How many of those cars have BOTH gas AND keys in the ignition?
2)you would still be exhausted and have a sore butt. A car does make noise but your going about 10 times faster (if you want to keep to a speed limit in a chaotic world) that it doesn't matter how loud you are, till of course you want to get out but you could cruise for awhile, cars on tick over aren't that loud.
If theres a car theres going to be keys near by and it will never be that far from a petrol/diesel station to fill a jerry can.
I can agree that a car would win in a rural area, but in the zombie apocalypse, I see myself in a small suburban town at LEAST.
Also, even if there's a gas station, that doesn't guarantee gas, what are you gonna do, walk up to a pump and ask it nicely? I don't think the gas stations would be working, they would be closed up, or out of gas, it IS the freaking zombie apocalypse after all.
Maybe the first gas station would have gas, but then 3 gas stations later (like, a month into the apocalypse), they would probably all be out, and I would like to survive over a month.
If your only going a short distance wouldn't it be better to walk? It's even more quiet and easier to get round things.
It depends how fast your going, if your going 100mph then the car is screwed but at 20-30 it's still good, just superficial body/windscreen damage. If there is 20 zombies then try to miss as many as you can.
As I said get a talon riot vehicle, it's kind of designed to hit people. The power of google compels you.
There is ALOT of "gas" in "gas" stations though, so your bound to find some sooner or later, mad max did it! If not use strong alcohol. (I put it "gas" 'cos I am English and you don't get gas from them).
If you can't do any of those things then either find another car with "gas" in or find a bike, atleast you saved some energy over just getting a bike from the start.
I agree with you. There are other vehicles that would be more useful, such as a helicopter, but their level of practicality is horrid.gamefreakbsp said:I personally think that a good pickup truck would be the best option to go with. You can find them around without much trouble, they are versatile and dead usefull. You can store things in the truck bed, you can drive over as many zombies as you want, and it can carry up to around 5 people with zero problems. What do you think?

Plus, I already have three pickup trucks
[Edit]: I would also like to suggest the use of my Jeep. It's the same as a truck, but with better gas mileage and an enclosed bed.
I agree with this, it is like a large moving fortress. Gas would be impossible to get though.boxcat said:Good luck finding a helicopter, learning how to fly it, finding fuel for it, and landing on buildings. that is hard.Guy32 said:You both obviously haven't seen the 2004 Dawn of the Dead. And A helicopter only needs to get from building to building.
This is what you need
Just put some extra armaments on it and even if you run out of fuel, it will take the zombies a while to get to ya.![]()
Mine breaks less than any car I know of, other than a Rolls...wubby said:But will break down every three hours.TK421 said:snip
No stop that, since when have zombies needed to breath? Have you ever seen anyone strangle a zombie before? Also if they are dead their corpses will start to bloat and the can float to the boat and then get youirishdelinquent said:From the list, I would choose a nice boat.
- you live on the water, giving you a great line of sight to any incoming threats (in fact, some breeds of zombies could not swim (infected need to breathe, so they would drown)).
- you can fish, thereby having a renewable resource for food.
- With many docks containing freighters and tankers, supplies can be rounded up fairly quickly when you need to stop in a port.
- You can venture to a different continent, if the outbreak has been quarentined to a certain region.
