A what?

On topic, probably a big-ass 18-wheeler with a trailer. Just fill the trailer with other survivors and guns, and you've got a mobile bunker that can plow through dozens of zombie-suckas. Also, if you're ever stranded in the middle of nowhere, you can use it as a shelter.
I think he means one of these (from the Armored Core seriest, "Next Armored Core [Mechs]." I used to understand why they were called "Nexts."

I actually had a two-hour talk segment on "zombie plans" during my radio show (Yep, I'm a DJ!). While almost every vehicle has its pros and cons, my callers and I managed to reason that if properly prepared (meaning you've recognized the warning signs and are stocking up just in case, BEFORE Z-Day), an RV/mobile home might be a good idea because you would have a mobile base to take with you, store weapons and possibly allies, and also have some of the amenities of home. However, if you're jacking a car from the dealership down the road at the last minute, you're going to want one of the more fuel-efficient vehicles. Though I would still recommend a car/truck/SUV over a motorcycle; despite the bike's fuel economy, I would feel safer with a cage between me and the undead. Grab what you need only; now is no time to test-drive that Porsche!

EDIT: I almost forgot: my guest-host mentioned that a bicycle is the most fuel-efficient thing EVER because it never runs out of fuel, but see my above argument for cages. However, carrying them doesn't have to be cumbersome; they make lightweight ones that fold for easy carrying on your back.

APC.

better than a tank due to the ability to carry more.

my choices are the US made M113 or the Australian Variant of the LAV the ASLAV.

or the Russian BMP.

some Visual Aids.

Converted to run on Bio-diesel. now all you need is ammo and weapons for the tanks.

you can basically run over most of the rest so long as you don't cause the treads to contract fail and AIDS.

I'll go with the zepplin (like a fuji-film blimp) They float FOREVER, and can be guided like a heli... best of both worlds! :p
OMG! Finally someone mentioned a zeppelin! It's basically a zombie-proof fortress... which can move! It's your safest bet unless there are flying zombies. And no zombie movies to date contained them, as far as i know. Maybe one or two.

But i voted truck anyway - it's what i could practically get my hands on in case of ZA. Just take a heavy military truck, put a bunker on it (not neccesarily bulletproof), stick a plow on the front, and bingo! It's basically zombicide on wheels! I wish more zombie movies had such trucks.
But are you even able to land a zeppelin without a ground crew? If not, it might be pretty tough to get enough supplies to last very long. Although it would be pretty sweet.

the Fuji film blimp is a BLIMP not a Zeppelin. Zeppelins are HUGE, and would need a crew of at least 5 to pilot and guide it around.

Helicopter, but only if you have a safe zone to begin with. A chopper will allow you to leave, get supplies and return. Also, when America bombs us (which, supposing the virus was in Australia, they would- just to stop us putting the virus in a auto-piloted plane and crashing it into a better country) We'll be able to sort of hop around into different areas, giving us a somewhat better chance of not dying.
If you don't have a safe zone, a small car. It is less likely to flip, probably has better fuel economy, and has better maneuverability. Now, we take this car to an airport and fly to the closest overseas place. It can't be that hard to fly a plane...right?

It would most likely start in the US or Europe. so i think Australia is fine. if anything we will survive the Longest.

A bicycle. Silent, manuverable, no gas, easily repaired, quick to start, light weight, keeps you fit, everyone knows how to use one, they are common, etc.

One of the Cougar armored vehicle variants. Can handle most terrain, very well armored (from zombies and survivors alike) only a few deaths from hundreds of IED explosions, it even has A/C. Can be outfitted with various MG's, 40mm GL, or a 50mm cannon.

I would ride a black horse with a fire-mane and chainsaw legs. Then, I would wish for people to call me Chicago Ted.

If it can be anything I want, then I want an armored RV with 3 Vulcan minigun turrets on each side, a spiked up snowplow on the front, and a jet engine on the back, because that would be awesome.

Realistically, strap some steel to a truck, put a plow on the front and start motorin'. Maybe some chainsaw slots for large crowds.

EDIT: I just noticed that my whatever one is a lot more tame than what most others are putting on this.

If you can manage to get ahold of one, a APC with treads. Armoured, carries a decent load, and alot less likely to get bogged down on the mounds of zombie. Even better if it has some form of turret. You then use it to get supplies and get to a boat, since the zombies can't reach you in the middle of the ocean (I accept no liability if zombies learn to swim and eat you.
In the quite likely event that you cannot acquire an APC something large like a semi truck or a 4x4 will have to do (must have bullbar).
