I suppose you've got a point, although I'm not sure that I agree. In Fallout 2, you really need good stats and good weapons to defeat a deathclaw easily. But in Fallout 3, you might be able to use the landscape to your advantage and kill one, even if you're at level one, a lot easier than in Fallout 2.Psychosocial said:A deathclaw gets about as many points on the difficulty scale in Fallout 2 as it does in Fallout 3. Sure, in Fallout 3 you can jump around like a retard and shoot at it while you wait for VATS to load up. But the creature itself is still as deadly as it is in the previous Fallouts, which is what the topic is about.SultanP said:-snip-
I kinda feel this way too. Wouldn't know about the Michael Jackson part, but I wish more people gave the old Fallouts the same attention as the new one. But people aren't going to, and that's how it goes. Getting upset about it doesn't help, though. Might just make people think that fans of the old Fallouts are all a bunch of whiners.WrongSprite said:I suppose it's the fact that I'm seriously bothered by the fact that the third installment is getting so much uncalled for attention, while the first games are completly forgotten somehow.Psychosocial said:-snip-
Kinda like how Michael Jackson got all of those people to start crying over him when he died, the same people who screamed "he likes fucking kids!".
True, but since I always used my best weapons on Overlords they were not deadly. Though I guess we're looking at this question in different ways. You're looking at it from a single battle, while I'm looking at it over the course of the entire game. Or something like that.s69-5 said:Ah but the question was not about rarity. It is posed as the deadliest, which is the Overlords with Tri Beam lasers (Tri Beam deals 40 additional HP damage when the target is the player).Internet Kraken said:Yeah but Super Mutant Overlords aren't very common, even in the heart of DC. Because they aren't very common it's worth to use ammo from your best guns on them. Unlike the Albino Radscoprion, which is a common appearance once you reach the high levels.s69-5 said:Super Mutant Overlord with Tri-Beam laser outclasses all of the poll suggestions.
The Sawmp Folk in Point Lookout are quite cheap. In addition to their normal damage, they deal an extra 35 damage that ignores armor. So no matter what kind of armor you have they can always penetrate it.Vern said:None of those listed in the poll. The damn rednecks in Point Lookout gave me more problems than anything else. Pump four gauss rifle rounds into them and they still keep coming. Never really had problems with any other enemy in the game, even the enclave soldiers were pussycats compared to them. It's funny, I would figure advanced battle armor would be better protection than denim overalls, but I guess I was wrong.
monitor lizards or komodo dragon or somethingSpiner909 said:Anyway, what was the original form of a deathclaw? I don't remember.
