It's a general lack of creativity, that or devotion. For instance if the name "Killer beast" is already taken but you really want to be called Killer beast then you'd probably add those infuriating Xxxs or numbers on the end.

Personally I try to make my usernames without numbers or any filler.

The only time i use numbers in my name is when some prat has already stolen Demonickitten. Then I revert to Demonickitten666 (the last three numbers represent something, obviously). But i can't understand why people chose to have their names with numbers or random letters unless neccessary.

Sorry but putting 666 at the end of your name is not cool. Reminds me of back in the earlier part of the decade when every retard had the screen name slipknot_maggot666 or 6slipknot6maggot6 or any other variation. But I guess it is easy to remember.

I don't do it because its cool or because im retarded or even because its easy to remember. I do it because 666 is the devils number and to be honest, if i said i used it because i believe in the devil then i can guarentee some flames from those on this site who are Christian e.t.c. I have nothing against them and im not a Satanist, i just like to say that im certainly not an angel and prefer to be considered bad. Originally i liked it only because i love the original Omen movies and would joke that i was the daughter of the Devil. Eventually because my nickname was "Demon" which was once considered slaves of the Devil, then 666 kind of went well with my name and became Demon666. That then changed to what my name is now.

PS please do not flame, ban or kill me in anyway for this post, i mean no harm and only chose to answer the post in the truthful manner that i felt it required. I DO NOT WORSHIP SATAN IN ANY WAY. I merely like his number as a sign of my badness.

I'll only add a number if someone else has the username and I can't have it - and the number will always be relevant, like it being my age/birthday/whatever.

I don't do pretty patterns either. There's nothing worse than being on team chat or something and not knowing how to pronounce someones bloody name because it's written in L33T.

Regarding my account name: I really didn't put much thought in it, I just put my email address.(which was my dad's nickname in real life; without the numbers and the last 3 letters which are from my country).
I could have chosen the name: TheIdealisT but I was to lazy to try it + I wasn't sure it would fit me(I still don't know what nick name would fit me thought)

I don't like putting numbers on the end of names I use for stuff. It makes me feel unimaginative that I couldn't come up with a unique name without adding a number or two into it. & when other people do it, I think it looks a bit ugly because it's not really a name. My name is a name and it's the name I get called in real life so it makes anything anyone says that involves my name feel more personal, yknow? I don't like it when I'm trying to speak to someone over the internet and I have to put numbers on the end of their name because it feels less like i'm actually talking to someone.

I use this name as oft as possible, because it's cool sounding and pretty obscure so I don't need to use numbers and the like. Then some twat on xbox live took it before I did, so instead of adding a number I thought up another name. iconocrave. Much better
