Only reason I left out Dark eldar(And a few other races) is because I ran out of spaces to put them. If I could add more then eight then I would have added them. But I added the ones mostly people knew about. So sorry to the fans of Dark Eldar, Sister of battle and many more races of the WH 40K fans.
Well I started off with necrons but later moved onto eldar. Out of the two i'm gonna have to go for eldar because of their great versatility, and the fact that i'm a big fan of harlequin and dark reaper squads
Tau is what got me started into 40k, now I play both Space Marine and Tau, playing against my brother who plays Deamonhunters, a fire warrior managed to kill one in close combat.
Tyranids. They got me into the game. I played a trial game as the space marines with the old Battle for Macragge starter set; after my marines got raped by genestealers, I was sold on them.
However, these days I've answered the call of the Raven Guard. Shrike kicks seven different kinds of ass!
From the very little time I played Dawn of Chaos I have to say Necrons. They're cool robots and they're kind of undead since they can regenerate themselves. That is double awesome in my book!
Technically they are a race, since the Imperium covers lots of different planets, and each chapter of Space Marines has different physical and racial characteristics, depending on their genes and homeworlds.
If an Ultramarine called a Space Wolf "Fenrisian barbarian scum" or "fang face", they he would be racist (and very brave or stupid), therefore Space Wolves are a race.
I prefer them to any other Space Marine chapter, since they're Space Vikings and almost Werewolves, with their internal beast and whatnot.
Tau, i just loved painting them and the Crisis suits are awesome. However, in Dow II the space marines are less cannon fodder and they have been growing on me.
