Pretty simple. Tell me your phobias/great fears here, and also try to mention why you think you have developed it. Also, talk about fears and phobias in general.(Note: A phobia is a kind of fear that goes into obsession, it controls your to a certain degree etc.)

I have arachnophobia (fear of spiders), to a mild degree. I don't think about them all the time, but when I see a spider I usually get very distracted and makes sure it doesn't come closer.
I also have fear of heights. In face of huge falls I get paralized and it feels like I'm being sucked out, towards the edge. But I always survive mysteriously.
Actually it's a fear of falling I have every fear you listed exept the animal and blood ones and claustrophobia. And yes I am afraid of clowns. And I don't fear the dead I am afraid that I will die any moment and when I look around I sometimes imagine how I can die it only happens when someone mentions death and I hide behind the couch for a week.

I'm quite scared of dogs. Dream about getting attacked by them regularly. On good nights, I smash their heads open in retaliation. Irrational hatred of most canines..

I have a fear of being submerged in water.

It's an odd fear though. Psychologically I'm fine. I can be in a pool and have water up to my neck and continue to think clearly and carry on conversations, but my body will freak out and start to panic (fast heart rate, difficulty reacting due to joints freezing, shortened breaths and difficulty breathing). When I was little I was mentally afraid of it as well, but I told myself to get the fuck over it and eventually mentally could handle it, just not physically.

Luckily I hate swimming anyhow as it is completely pointless, so this doesn't ever really come up.

I don't tell anyone my fears just in case the universe or anyone in it decides to use them against me. Paranoid much?

What I have let slip previously though is my fear of badgers and swans. evil beings.

My greatest fear is to be buried alive. Not that I'm claustrophobic, it's just that I'm scared shitless by the notion of slowly running out of air without an escape.

I've always been put in situations where i have (to quote ZOMBIELAND) just had to nut up or shut up, so i've overcome most fears in my life..

I don't really have any anymore.. I think i do fear being betrayed/let down in group situations where i have to rely on someone else, but it has happened so often to me, now, that i don't think i'd call it a fear so much as an expectation. I will always be let down or betrayed when i have to rely on someone else.

I really hate people.

Maybe you could say THAT'S my greatest fear? People.

High-up places really freak me out. Also spiders, but just when they're crawling on me. I have no problem if one's just climbing up the wall on the other side of the room.

I am not entirely scared of things so I wouldn't call it a phobia, I am slightly scared of dogs(i think it is a little thing my brain has done since when I was a baby I was bitten by my dog) and the know of insects crawling on me where I can't see them.

Yeah my mum and dad bought a small dog to get me over that fear of dogs, it has sort of worked, just certain types of dogs i'm scared of.

Growing old and senile and being unable to feed/cloth/have a crap by myself. Losing your memory and having your body crumble due to old age.

It's unavoidable. And it takes away all your freedom.

And the terrifying state of NHS Elderly healthcare in England isn't making it much better.

And also slightly of heights.
Have you ever met a whale, Or do you just close your eyes whenever one is on TV?
I shudder whenever I see them on the TV or in real life. They're just too big.

Heights, the dark, spiders and death. Which to choose?

I resent most of those being phobia's, though, most of them aren't irrational.

Heights - Duh

Dark - Anything could come at you and you wouldn't know

Spiders - Most of the bastards can kill you, if not, hurt you

Death - Debatable, but I think it's quite reasonable to be afraid
