Children, can't kill 'em
Is there even a game where its possible? I honestly don't think there is.

OT: I picked animals, but mainly when it comes to dogs.
Fallout 1 and 2, but not 3 or New Vegas which is ridiculous that you can't.

I have no problem killing anything in a game - if the game itself demands it. But I don't go round the game world killing everyone I find of my own volition.

I also try to avoid killing children and animals, if I can. They lack the capacity to do evil.

What makes me mad is that no one cares about a person dying in a game (except "some" people) but somehow it is wrong to kill an animal! A human being is an advanced evolved super-being that is capable of developing technology to destroy the universe!!! Some animals eat their own crap and stand around being useless, yet it is wrong to shoot them in the head with a shotgun 15 times, which I just did to the guy around the corner for trying to take my spaceship!?! Granted the animal wasn't trying to take my spaceship, but you can't take chances in this economy! XD

Okay... I cant kill innocent, defenseless and pretty ladies due to me being a boy, i cant kill children and i cant kill tiny kitty cats. Everybody/everything else that i happen to come by depends partially on who they are and what day is it.

Yep, that sounds like something Renegade Shepherd would say =)

Little Lamplight was the biggest trolling of any game I could imagine, people (kids) who you wanted to knock out so badly but couldn't do anything to. They did it on purpose, those designers.

But no, I wouldn't really kill kids or animals in games just for fun, unless I was attacked first of course. And innocent people. Although it sometimes comes to that if I'm trying to explore the 'being an asshole' side of a game for the most negative karma points I can gather. In KoTor that can lead to some surprisingly horrible acts against humanity.

Kill 'em all! I'm already desensitized from movies, it's nothing new to me now.

However, I don't think you should be forced to kill children or puppies as an objective, don't think it's fair to those who don't want to see it.

Not that it particularly bothers me when I step outside this restriction, but I will kill anything in a game provided I have a reason in gameplay for it to be dead.

That is, unless I've gone into full-on "I'm going to be a dick for lulz" mode. Then I'll kill everything that I can get my mitts on.

That reminds me, I need to track down a copy of the Phantom Menace PC game, so I can make C3PO beg for his life after decapitating R2-D2 with a lightsaber.

I have a weird split personality on this. I can play No Russian, Jak 3, Pandemic, run over people in GTA and play Hulk Ultimate Destruction (come on at least a couple of civilians have to have died) and not feel any remorse at all.
But in Fallout 3 when the bully asked me to save his aunt I wussed out and saved her. And I have not killed almost any NPC in Mass Effect either. And in GTA 4 I let the boyfriend guy live. Basically if they have a face they are more likely to live.

I draw the line right where I'm gonna cut their heads off.

Oh, you mean the moral line...
I don't draw any of those.

In fact, I really annoyed by the immortality of children in games like Fallout 3 and otherwise by the lack of children.

I'm also quite annoyed by the lack of detail in killing in general. (The Saw movies have got pretty good detail, but those contraptions are a bit impersonal.)

And then there's the shortage of mass murder like where you blow up Megaton...

I voted for "kill em all".

Not only because it's a nice album, but becaue it's true. I'm able to discern between video games and real life, and as of yet there hasn't been any videogame with characters lifelike enough to make me regret killing it. And I don't mean just graphically, but in being a real person or character.

In real life though, I the only things I can kill without feeling bad are flour moths and mosquitos, so no, I am no psychopath. Characters/animals/other beings in games are just not real to me to care, even if I am "immersed" or drawn in by the narrative.

Depends, in a sandbox game where the innocents have no personality, I can kill them all, but in games where the characters actually feel real, even the NPC innocent people, then I have serious problems and being the nice guy I am I can rarely force myself to make the bad choices involving killing even when I specifically try and play the evil bad character >.<

They're all just polygons or sprites anyway, no real death occurring so let 'em all die in polyhell.

There's nothing I can't kill,but if I can avoid it,I won't kill innocents.Ie:if there's one bad guy in the middle of a crowd using a box of kittens as shield,I won't pull out a handgrenade,but I won't mind firing at him.

As you can see,the question of morality and ethics is much simpler in a game for me,since I'm perfectly capable of making the distinction between a living organism and a bunch of pixels.

It's only a game. I kill whatever I want. I don't normally go on a mass killing spree and when I do I don't save. I don't feel any moral wrong. Maybe if they made a really realistic game and/or gave me a strong attachment to the character and I couldn't just load up and change my mind. Then I probably wouldn't do it to anyone.

I'd kill anyone if they piss me off enough. I wouldn't have a problem killing a dog, if it attacked me, and I wanted to kill the kids in Little Lamplight. (Show your elders som respect!)

But if it's just someone random on the street(/wasteland), I have no grudge against what so ever, I can't really kill them. Doesn't feel right.
(Unless I'm offered a LOT of caps/money)
