I don't have any problem killing any on the poll. The only exception from my wrath is when I am playing a game where you aren't supposed to kill innocents, such as playing as a "good" character in Fable or Fallout. I wasn't bothered by killing the dogs in Call of Duty 4 because they would kill me if I didn't kill them, although the snapping of their necks was a little brutal... at first. Also, in Oblivion I don't kill innocent bystanders because I don't need to get a bounty on my and spend my hard earned looting money.

EDIT: I wanted to kill the children in Fallout 3 SO BADLY! Those little bastards in Little Lamplight deserve to be hit with experimental Fatboy that launches 7 or 8 mini nukes!

I feel bad sometimes killing the characters who aren't twats. Mostly, this means Dogmeat from fallout 3. Otherwise, it's a game, if I want to then I will light the world on fire with napalm and clowns.

Can't kill children or cats. Other than that, the morality of my playstyle depends on the current mood of the spiders in my head. I could be picking flowers for a rosy-cheeked housewife or seeing how many grenades will fit in her pocket.
I can kill cats...

If there were a game that let me shoot cat after cat after cat after cat (etc.), I would play that....

So much...

I really hate cats.

OT: I dunno. I haven't seen a game that's let you kill children yet. Up til that I'm ok with shooting stuff.

I can kill dogs, rabbits, adorable little birds singing in the woodland, you name it. But not cats. I grew up with cats, I love cats, and I always hated finding them dead in Bioshock. I am trying to imagine what it would be like to relocate to the bottom of the sea and bring your cat with you.

Kill people in games when I feel like it.

It's a game so I dont see a reason to draw a line.

If I'm on my first playthrough in an open RPG I'll generally play by own morals. If someone deserves then they'll be killed. So yeah, I won't kill innocents. But I always replay as a psychotic murderer for the craic.

That's how I roll. I won't directly attack anyone/anything that isn't a direct threat, or has attacked me (however, they CAN get caught in the crossfire.). But if you point a gun at me, or backstab me, or are directly and willfully impeding my progress towards saving the world...You can put your hands over your head and kiss your little butt goodbye.

I basically play a hero, but I am vindictive as hell. In InFamous, although I went the hero route (Minus ONE choice where I went evil. I'M STILL A HUMAN DAMMIT! NOT A MACHINE OF PURE GOOD!), I often just killed my enemies instead of capturing them alive. If you shoot me, prepare for epic consequences, for I show no mercy to those who want me dead.

Games are fiction, they are fake situations. There should be no limitations.
BY what definition children are sacred? Or animals? No one is sacred, everyone one is weak. There should be no limitations. Everyone should be wounded because they can be wounded for real.

But there is poor taste, unnecessary violence and gore, example torture just for the sake of torture is wrong.
This makes no sense to me. You're making a limitation. That torture must have a purpose.
What I mean is that torture, for the sake of torturing is wrong. But if torture (in game) is used as a tool to continue the story/plot/game. It must serve a better purpose than just to add gore/violence to the game.

You know there is difference -in story telling- between action without a reason and action with a reason. I do not accept use of violence as a tool without meaning, if it serves a purpose I am OK with it. Example, too violent finishers in fighting games are something that I do not really accept.

Lawful Good doesn't mean Lawful Nice
This made my day. I completely agree with you. I normally don't attack random people on sight, unless I'm playing a sandbox game and then it's basically bad news bears for everyone involved. If you don't attack me first, I'll pretty much leave you alone. If you provoke me, however, I will respond with an unequal amount of force that will most likely leave you as a crater in the ground.

I have no problem killing people, children I'm iffy about but can indeed do it.

It's animals I got problems with, usually domesticated ones in the games. I hate just randomly killing a dog or something, don't know why.

I'll kill anything the game allows me. :3

Only thing I have trouble is killing characters I care about. :(

However, if you set off my "Evildar" or "Detect Evil", then kiss your life goodbye! Lawful Good doesn't mean Lawful Nice
I don't even have to post anything.

Anything or anyone who attacks me is a valid target, man, animal, plant, object it doesn't matter.
Even beyond that I'm willing to kill innocence on a whim although I guess I would be more inclined to spare creatures more than people.
awww cute puppy vs. die infant die.
