I have a tendency to play spotter for my sniper friends, so basically i just point out good targets over the mike and occasionaly remind any potential flankers why spotters always carry assault rifles.

Driver.
Because you grunts need to get to the meat grinder fast.

I follow the Jason Statham school of driving, and so far its worked out pretty well on any game I play, from Halo to GTA.

And if no vehicles are available, I grab the nearest heavy weapon and go mental.

I'm the driver. Whether you need someone to barrel straight through the enemy lines in a light vehicle, or a talented operator for your mobile artillery, I'm your man.

If I don't have a vehicle, I'm setting my team up for the win. That might entail sniping everyone guarding the front of the base, or sneaking in and opening the gates. Either way, I do what needs to be done, and I'm gone.

Landing-forces soldier or Recon.

Get behind the lines, get to the objective, and get the hell out of there.

I would say sniper, but after playing Battlefield: Bad Company and realizing how many people pick that, I'll say Recon/Stealth.

Since Recon isn't the same as Sniper

I do my best to support my team, in whatever way I can...
I'm one of those freaks who get satisfaction from helping others...

Get in the enemies face with my shotgun. Whilst near my own men I will heal the wounded and try to provide cover for my teammates.

I picked other.
For me its got to be either the Armoured division or Artillery Division.
Preferably the latter.
In the armoured i get to roll over my enemys while having the satisfaction of watching some enemy deep in cover with heavy weapons, go flying in every direction after their outpost gets a direct hit from my heavy shell.
In the Artillery i get to fire the largest, most powerful and most damaging guns in the army, and i get to stay way behind my own lines at basecamp sipping tea while i rain hell down.
In real life i'd be in the artillery.
But i get too bored at the back of the battle in games and therefore go for the armour.

i just play like an anarchist usually. i can snipe pretty well on most games, but i very quickly get bored of it and prefer to go up close to an opponent, dodging their attacks and infuriating them.

that said, i don't really play many first person shooters. the only one i've really gotten into recently is metroid hunters on the multiplayer mode.

Hmmm....it's a hard question, so I perfer the title 'designated marksmen.' Essentally sniping without the whole, 'I'm a mile away' factor.
I also serve support roles, mostly medic.

I'm more a support-character. I'm not too great on taking people out myself in most games, but I like to hassle the enemy or take out others while they're after my team members. In TF2 I'm usually the Demoman sitting in a high place, taking out the odd person who hasn't noticed me or someone hassling a team-member; that or a Sniper trying to keep people from taking advantage of the weaker classes.

I'm a pretty shitty Medic though, I have a tendency to try and protect my team-mates with under-powered weapons when I think my healing isn't enough; then I get myself killed and they have very little healing indeed.

If you're talking TF2 here, which it looks like we are, I'm the Heavy Weapons Guy.

You're a loose cannon sandvich, but you're a damn good cop!
